If GGG wins, so be it. If Canelo wins, that's good too. I could careless, these little fanboy wars is what bothers me most. You diminish the name of a fighter you dislike in order to achieve what exactly? Say the Canelo vs GGG fight happens, are you saying the win wouldn't be significant for Golovkin, his resume and career since Ginger sucks in your eyes? Exactly... Think about it.

i may be an Estrada fanboy but I would never diminish Roman's accomplishments nor would I cushion Estrada's.

Keep doing your thing though. Fast hands, slow feet and decent defense doe. Much insight, you don't say?

So you don't criticize Canelo for saying he won't fight any 160 pound fighter as long as he is at 155? Disgusting as if boxing isn't messed up already, the new face of boxing isn't born ready anymore?

Given Canelo's style, do people think he'd be able to beat Demetrius Andrade or Jermell Charlo?

This is an old war torn way past prime Cotto.

          Why couldn't Alvarez stop him?

          Where is this "Canelo power?"
I don't know that he needed to KO Cotto. He beat Cotto definitively which should be good enough.

Cotto's movement did trouble Canelo a bit, but I don't know that GGG will be doing same. On paper it looks like a GGG massacre but the thing is GGG has never really fought anyone as good as Canelo so its hard to tell.

Going to be interesting to see if GGG can manage the added responsibility of selling the fight with his work out/training regimen.

Why didn't he stop Cotto? He was 170+ and couldn't finish a past prime war torn Cotto who even Floyd hurt.

Why? Where is Canelos power? He needs something to keep GGG off.

Andrade would make Canelo look silly then lose 120-108 on the cards.

That's just not how he fights. I thought he'd pressure and use his size against Floyd but he didn't, not against Lara, but he did against Kirkland. I think his trainers suck, yeah it's good to show you can box but if you have a size advantage like he did against Floyd and Cotto, why not.try to use it? Maidana sure tried in the 1st fight.

Remember his most recent KO's are when his opponents are shot (kirland, Angulo, cintron) or much smaller (lopez, Gomez). His KO's are more about the opponent than Canelo's power IMO. Cotto he fought was not as shot as the 1st group or small as the 2nd group.

As such, the gameplan was likely box effectively (which he did) and only go for the KO late if it's there.

If he can jab and move effectively he can neutralize GGG. Again, on paper it doesn't look like this.

simply put, canelo liked cotto as a bro.

otherwise he'd a put more of a beating on him. it was clear as day to me, at least.
