He was more than happy controlling the fight and showing his improvements as a fighter. He could have pressed for it after the body shot in the 12th, but the fight was already won.
Cotto was able to take everything Canelo threw.

How will he keep Gennady off him?

Why not? Biggest fight of his career minus Floyd, why not?

His power is overrated. He isn't a huge puncher by any stretch.
He appears to hit a lot harder than he probably does.

That & I think Cotto is better conditioned than he used to be.

I've never really been under the impression Canelo is a particularly big puncher at the weight myself.

Cotto also spent the entire fight moving and throwing just to try and score, he didn't want to engage for a reason. Canelo is not a one punch KO guy, but he's heavy handed and accurate.

Golovkin is a great fighter, but let's not act like average guys like Stevens and Lemieux didn't stand up to plenty of clean shots and sustained punishment. Canelo is levels above those guys in every department, at times he'll box, counter, engage...we'll see what happens when Golovkin faces another genuinely top quality fighter.

because Cotto doesn't have a chin nor does Cotto have amazing defense nor did he move around the ring gracefully like an elite

It's not like Canelo will fight GGG anyway.

He hurt cotto pretty bad in 12th with a body shot

Cotto was way more defensive and used his feet than against may weather or Pac

He actually attempted to pressure those guys

Plus those slow feet of Canelo hurt his ability to track a guy down
