    Why couldn't Canelo KO Cotto?

    Lack of power?

This is an old war torn way past prime Cotto.

    Why couldn't Alvarez stop him?

    Where is this "Canelo power?"

      Did he have to?

He won the fight comfortably and at no point did he really push for a stoppage. He badly hurt him to the body in the 12th, and still didn't really press for a KO.

He dropped Trout with one punch, Angulo (who has a great chin) told his corner that Canelo's power was bothering him, he put Kirkland into orbit...he can punch, but he doesn't go looking for KO's.

What difference does it make if he didn't? There's more than one way to win.

Why would he not go for the KO? He had a chance to really display but didn't

Trout was hurt more against Lara.

Where is this power? He has quick hands, slow feet.

If it presents itself, he'll go for it.

He was more than happy controlling the fight and showing his improvements as a fighter. He could have pressed for it after the body shot in the 12th, but the fight was already won.

I believe a lot of it had to do with Cotto blocking or avoiding more shots than he was given credit for. Canelo isn't very accurate; that's why Mayweather made easy work of him.

He boxed and didn't put his foot on the gas for a KO.
