I'm just asking GGG fans to acknowledge that GGG is "business man" just like Floyd, Cotto, and Canelo! It's just that those 3 are consistently in big money fights, and GGG, well not so much!

    Exactly !

    • Bhop is pretty much saying that Lil'G vs Canelo, as Loeffler and Sanchez stated, won't happen until 2017 or 2018. Their words....

Therefore, Lil'G should take the opportunity to at least try something noteworthy before Ward beats Kova. That's all he's saying, before Kova's stock goes down after losing to Ward.

The Alien doing Lil'G a favor. Could you guys imagine Lil'G at Bhops age even more back warped than when he was younger?

Golovkin is a middleweight, he's not holding any 168 belt hostage.

If Canelo wants to fight at 154, that's fine. But he should drop the WBC 160 belt.

        Whoah, pull up.....

Golovkin was technically not " unwilling " to fight Ward..... he ducked him by demanding a catchweight that he knew Ward couldn't make.

The " can't draw flies " comment, is the excuse they used to duck Ward last October..... the 164lb catchweight is the excuse they used to duck Ward back in July.

        Get your excuses right.

Back when Golovkin demanded 164, most Golovkin fans justified that rubbish by stating that Golovkin was the A-side...... so, it look like Golovkin will be chewing lettuce for Canelo.

          but.....

Loeffler : Ward must beat Kovalev, to earn his shot

golovtards : yea, that's right Tom, **** on the money LMAO

So, in the video you link to, Loeffler lays the whole Ward thing out so that it makes perfect sense to a 5-year-old and from that you get "Ward must beat Kovalev, to earn his shot"...

I'm curious to see what gave you that impression. Go through the video and find the actual quotes that got you there. I'll even help you -- here's the text of the first half of Loeffler's interview. The second half mentions the HBO meeting in 2012 and the original 154 to 168 claim...

“Andre has pretty much moved on. He’s in the 175lb division right now,” Loeffler said to Fighthype. “He fought at 172 in his last fight. He’s committed now to fight Sullivan Barrera, who also is trained by Abel [Sanchez], who is undefeated and is pretty much at the same level where [Dominic] Wade is at. That’s going to be a test for Andre. Somebody asked me what happens if Ward beats Kovalev. Andre’s back at the top where he was before. When Andre’s name keeps coming up. The only criticism that Abel had or anyone in the team, was never his skills or what he can do in the ring. He proved that in the Super Six. The only problem was his inactivity. He had the lawsuit with Dan Goosen, and he had the injuries. They came back and fought at 172 [against Paul Smith]. Now the priority for Gennady is to unify the middleweight division. But if he [Ward] beats Sullivan Barrera and he beats Kovalev, all of a sudden Andre’s at the top. If Gennady beats Canelo, all of a sudden you’ve got a mega-fight. Now, even though it’s 15 pounds away from each other, you’ve got two fighters of that caliber, at that point it becomes more reasonable. If Gennady ever fights outside of his weight division, it’s got to be a big fight. That’s what we were talking about with the Froch fight. If he’s [Golovkin] going to take a risk and move up in weight, he’s got to be compensated for that,” Loeffler said.

We'll see what happens at the negotiating table after the Kahn fight. At the time GGG was offered the contract by Ward, declining it was the easy choice to make. Call it "business" if you want, but it was so obvious to most people it's just common sense. Who cares what he should've done in hindsight. People make decisions based on likely desired outcomes. He currently has Canelo under contract to fight or vacate. Once again, would you have signed the Ward offer?
I would not have accepted the Ward offer either. Other than Mayweather, Canelo is the cash cow of boxing! Canelo would be my priority #1. Plus GGG is much more likely to beat Canelo than Ward. However, I would not have publicly made the comment regarding a 164catch-weight for Ward (remember anybody from 154-168), but not Froch or Chavez Jr. That's basically saying "I don't want the fight." So they made a "business decision" to target Canelo and not Ward. That's OK. But don't start calling other folks "business man" as if you don't play the same game! Now the game has switched. GBP knows that GGG needs Canelo more than Canelo needs GGG. They start coming out with this catch-weight ****, and now GGG is stuck. No Ward, and no Canelo (unless you concede to a catch-weight). Hindsight is always 20/20. That Ward offer looks better today than it did yesterday!

Your GGG hate has reached the level of absurdity, broke through the roof and just kept on going. Keep crying, moron.

              • What B-Hop is actually saying here?

"How many times has a fight been signed and not happened? Are fans going to complain if they don't get Kovalev and Ward, and instead get Kovalev and Golovkin," Hopkins said.
"Nobody wants to fight these guys, so let them fight each other."...

... Well, B-Hop says that the fans (and himself, for sure) will not be surprised and/or complain if Ward ducks Kovalev... and that nobody wants to fight these guys (Ward included), right?

It is childish horse-****, and you are silly for running with it.

                    Read this.....

if Golovkin were to pull off a victory over Ward, Golovkin would be catapulted to heights and fame that could only be touched by Mayweather himself. Golovkin would become the WBA super middleweight champion, and instantly become the face of boxing with the retirement of Mayweather looming. Golovkin would then truly become the man to beat, and make him the A-side fighter in negotiations with anyone he faces afterwards. Therefore, in my opinion, Ward is the true A-side.
                    http://www. boxing news 24 .com/2015/07/ward-vs-ggg-whos-really-the-a-side/

Stop being ridiculous, they were willing to fight old Froch at 172 because Froch is "available" and they think they can beat him..... making out like Ward is irrelevant is absurd.

Does it really feel like Golovkin is a hero when you are co-signing those weak excuses?

Dude..... last year, they repeatedly approached Chudinov, and they recently approached Ramirez..... which of those two super-stars will "compensate" Golovkin for his efforts?

Who isn't a businessman? Some businessmen have principles, some don't. Some have common sense, some don't. Ward was never ready to fight and Golovkin was never going to lock himself into a down-the-road contract...164 was a bit of BS thrown out to basically take a shot at Ward..he wasn't going to get the fight because he's been inactive and they knew the weight wouldn't be acceptable. In hindsight, maybe they should've taken the fight. Hindsight will be even clearer in a few weeks.
