Next, Im sorry but Im not buying an online subscription to the LA Times so I can copy and paste for all of you Ward fans that want to use Dan Ambrose or someone elses word as Loefflers. It isnt that hard to search "Loeffler LA Times". Article pops up every time.

Further, I paraphrased off memory and you argued. Now, weve gone full FN circle with you posting the article. Now, can you point me to the part of that article that contradicts what I said about Loeffler being willing to fight in 2017?
He's willing to fight in 2017!!! He turned down a 50/50 offer to fight in 2016!!! They also demanded a catch-weight @ 164, but not for Froch or Chavez Jr. Read the BoxingScene article. GGG is "business man" just like Cotto, Canelo, and Floyd! He (K2) is just not a very good "business man."

    October 9, 2015 (Rick Reeno):

According to Loeffler , the offer was rejected because K2 had already finalized Golovkin's upcoming HBO Pay-Per-View fight with Lemieux - and the winner would become the mandatory challenger to the November 21st showdown between WBC champion Miguel Cotto and Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

Loeffler indicates that their strategy, since last year, has been to unify the middleweight division.

However, during that period they did explore potential fights at super middleweight with both Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

When it came it Ward, Loeffler and Golovkin's trainer Abel Sanchez made it very clear that a catch-weight of 164-pounds would be required. They also feel their boxer deserves a bigger portion of the monetary split. Roc Nation's offer was an even 50-50 deal.

Keep defending that all you want...That's a duck!!!

You realize theres a ton of other colors out there?

Hard for you to see them huh?

How can he duck Ward when Ward sent the offer when GGG had other fights signed and lined up?

Ward at that time was inactive for 2 years and nobody would have signed such a ******ed offer for 12 months in the future LOL.

Stop hating, enjoy the GGG show.

And Ward turned down an offer to fight in 2015. Its like Loeffler said, "the best at 168 against the best at 160 at 164 50-50". You cant substitute either Froch or Chavez Jr into "the best at 168". Thats the logic behind 164. Its the best vs the best at the weight right in the middle.

You can defend a duck all you want, but when presented with an offer to fight in 2015, Ward said I'm not ready, I need tune ups

Roc Nation says one thing: "They're lying." K2 says one thing: "It's the gospel." We can agree to disagree. I'm glad you like the GGG show starring Curtis Stevens, Willie Monroe Jr., Dominic Wade, and of course the dimly-lit star of the show GGG!

164 for Ward, but not Froch or Chavez Jr. Way to go Little G! What goes around, comes around!

Agreed but look at who was managing Bernard back then.

Cotto was never going to fight GGG, that's why GGG had no problem stepping aside. They were anticipating a Canelo win and they got it. We'll see what happens at the negotiating table after the Kahn fight. At the time GGG was offered the contract by Ward, declining it was the easy choice to make. Call it "business" if you want, but it was so obvious to most people it's just common sense. Who cares what he should've done in hindsight. People make decisions based on likely desired outcomes. He currently has Canelo under contract to fight or vacate. Once again, would you have signed the Ward offer?

So, I can see GGG holding a 168 title hostage in future.
That GGG was willing to move up for the right payday, but not to fight someone who can't draw flies has nothing to do with it.

Golovkin is a middleweight, he's not holding any 168 belt hostage.

If Canelo wants to fight at 154, that's fine. But he should drop the WBC 160 belt.

                  • Ward 164

                    50/50

                    was the offer.

Ward walked away. even though GGG was the draw. Ward tucked. simple as that.
