In other words, they wouldn't want it. Simple. Why at this point would Floyd concede anything when the attraction to his next fight is the fact that it would be his comeback? His, comeback. ODLH just talking this stuff because its fight week.

Oscar and the people who hype Canelo seriously try way too hard for him to be seen as the next PPV star...He simply isn't. I'd be surprised to hear some Canelo promo without it being force fed to us about him being the one on top of this generation.

Some things just can't be sold.

Picture Floyd accepting 70/30 from a guy that he already beat! Canelo is big, but he ain't that big...yet!

I don't know about the odds, or how the purse should be split in this imaginary fight, but to me, equal to Canelo's poor performance was his trainer's poor performance. They had an ignorant gameplan going in, and couldn't adjust. A recipe for disaster. He'd probably do better in a rematch, but still Canelo's trainers aren't as good as they'd need to be.

As for Floydie... friend, with all due respect, he's a juicer. He deserves zero respect. Or maybe you didn't read he was caught with an IV in his house prior to the Berto fight. And likely juiced for many other fights but didn't get caught. He needed that crutch to win. ATGs don't need a crutch, sorry to burst your bubble.

If Oscar is serious, then you're obviously right.

We heard that same talk about Canelo/Golovkin, Team Golovkin used that same talk about Ward, Mayweather about Khan, Arum about Pac/Khan, Arum about Pac/Cotto II..... and none of those fights got made.

It's just an off-handed comment..... they would take whatever Mayweather gives them because aside from the PHENOMENAL payday, Canelo would get the fight at 155, because of the MW title..... and Canelo has nothing to fear from Mayweather.

Oscar is just angling to get a little closer to the 50% mark than he KNOWS they will get, which would likely be 35-40%...... I suspect "40%, but I get ALL the trimmings"..... just like Mayweather gave Arum/Pac.

            It's just Oscar-speak rubbish.

The fight will do less than cotto and I'm guessing at least 300 k less...Oscar seems to have this impression that canelo is bigger than what he really is.....Floyd won't fight canelo at 155lb as there won't be no title on the line and Floyd wants a title and secondly he likes stacked odds...no 152 this time and although he could and should best canelo again he also don't like to take chances ..I don't care what mayweather does now as I think he's cooked his goose and his time is done and if people wanna pay silly money to watch mayweather fight a gimme lets there choice but it don't well if it's an easy opponent ....as for canelo - Khan it's a mismatch

Such a shame that Oscar is using again, Yes mayweather is retired but as much as he is not the most exciting fight, he has built a business around that 0 which is bigger than any aspect Canelo has at the moment.

If Canelo was to goes and KO GGG, 50/50 would be fair but Mayweather would never agree on a 50/50 ever

This is just a silly thought.....

I don't think this is the best thing for boxing, or the best thing for the middleweight division, but it could be the best thing FOR THE WBC.....

Would the WBC sanction Mayweather/Canelo for the MW Title, with.....

                  1) Canelo fighting Golovkin NEXT, if he beats Mayweather

                  2) if Mayweather beats Canelo, he vacates/retires, leaving Golovkin/Canelo free to negotiate on weight for the vacant title?

That gives Mayweather a paper title at middleweight, and it starts to make the middleweight division look a little comical..... but it's not the strangest thing I ever heard..... that would make the WBC a lot of money and it would solve the Canelo/Golovkin problem.

And if Golovkin wins, it solves the middleweight/160 problem as well.

                  A dumb thought, but yea
