Why doesnt Floyd's list of potential comback opponents include any African Americans?

Or at least why are they not top choices? Seems like from what I hear DSG and Canelo (after Khan) are the top choices, even a Pacquiao rematch, mean while Spence, Thurman, and Porter are all equally deserving IMO. Hell I would bet Jessie Vargas has a better chance of securing a Floyd fight. Wouldn't Floyd want to give another brotha a payday and a chance to pass the torch (so to speak)?

Mayweather wants Spence to be his protege and successor, and he also wants to be Spence's promoter, or at least to promote some of his fights, so I don't see Floyd fighting Spence under any circumstances. Neither would or should want to take each other's zeros.

True, but honestly I was more impressed with how he beat shane after he got his bell rung. Floyds always talking about how hes so good because how much work the young guys give him in the gym and when the cameras are in the gym, all I see are a bunch of African Americans...

And you think Broner is that guy doe? I mean maybe there is an argument for Thurman (although he had some problems with Guerrero & Collazo which doesn't bode well for his chances vs Floyd) or Porter (who might be the most interesting fight cuz he comes from that Maidana/Castillo in your face all night school of boxing thats made for some interesting fights), but you can make arguments for a lot of guys & the thing is black vs black don't sell in this highly Latino sport in the US these days. Or at least it doesn't if you aren't on the Mosley level which none of these guys is close to in skill or appeal.

Personally as a fan my interest were always in him fighting guys like Vernon forrest and a young shane mosley over others. Styles make fights. I would be shocked if he fought Thurman Porter or spence.

I thought Forrest was out hurt then at 154 when Floyd was defending the 135 title against NDou. You wanted to see him fight Vernon then? Maybe in 05 they could've fought.

Shane had turned down Floyd repeatedly.

Spence is too young so I agree. He would only fight the winner of Thurman/Porter, which wouldn't be too difficult, but IMO more difficult than Danny.

Manny got the fight after Algeri. Guerrero and Ortiz got it after Berto. Marquez got it after Diaz. All I am saying is I wanna see something different. Watching Garcia would be like watching Canelo vs Floyd all over again.
