Wlad is not inrerested in fighting Valuev

That's what I was afraid of hearing, that Valuev is pereceived as boring and that he pretty much stunk up the ring against Ruiz and Larry Donald. That might be true, but I'm of the opinion that Valuev would be a difficult style matchup for Wladimir Klitschko, since Wladdy couldn't just stay outside the whole fight and dominate Valuev with his jab and reach.

In order for me to really feel like Wladdy is a great fighter I have to see more versatility from him. I need to see him do some inside fighting, learn to move his head and stop holding all the time on the inside.

I agree. It would be a very awkward fight. Wlad could not tally up the rounds as easily as he does against smaller fighters, and we also don't know how easily Valuev will go down. With that said I still can't imagine Valuev as a real threat to Wlad.

Thats what is being said! Brewster is out till his detached retina heals so Liakhovich is fighting Mcbride in the meant time. Brock is fighting Ibragimov in june I think, maybe july, Briggs doesn't want none even though he says he does and Ruiz is trying to get a rematch with Valuev so Wlad doesn't have too many options unless he is willing to wait atleast 6 months. I realize what you are saying about Toney and I agree but that is a big money fight for both Wlad and Toney and they both are going to end up waiting.

I see your point. Who wants to wait 6 months to see Wlad fight again after watching his exciting performance last saturday? But why is Liakvich setting up a fight with Mcbride when a fight with Wlad could be set up and pay much better? Besides, Mcbride is no pushover and should be taken seriously.

I agree whith the Liakhovich situation. I don't know if that is a done deal or not but it sounds like it is. Wlad should just fight Valuev if he is willing. It's a title and unification! Valuev was hurt though and his fight with Owen Beck was pushed back to August I believe so everyone seems to have a fight lined up.

Who is Wlad going to fight? He's a busy heavyweight and virtually everyone is at the drive in while he just finished the matinee.

At first I was happy about Valuev taking Ruiz out of the title picture, now I know hes probably going to be just as bad. If he beats Beck then he should fight a top heavyweight instead of someone who lost 2 straight.

This sounds like a pre-fight PR to me. First of all, Brock is fighting Ibragimov, Valuev is fighting Beck, Rahman is fighting Maskaev, Ruiz and Peter are out of the question, which leaves Wlad nothing whatsoever from top 10 except Toney and Liakhovich. A fight with 230 lb Toney would be just pathetic. A fight with Liakhovich would be very exciting and pretty interesting. That would also go well with Wlad's willingness to unify.

aise from lyoviches beating of brewster he is still a nobody, lyohvich needs to build himself up a little then a fight with klitschko would be great. I hope Klitschko fights Toney or Brock. This bull****t with Rahman-Maskaev is just messing things up, imagone Klitschko-Rahman that would be great...

The scary part of this is that Valuev might lose to Beck. It is actually a possibility since Beck would be the best guy he has fought other than Ruiz, or Donald, both of whom he struggled with. Then we would have Owen Beck holding one of the title belts, which would just be wonderful for boxing.

mcbride is a total pushover and not even he takes himself seriously. he just weighed in at 286 pounds for his last fight, a whopping 16 more than the previous one. klitschko would KO him in 1 round.

lyakovich will drill his sorry ass also, but it;ll take a couple rounds.
