This sounds like a pre-fight PR to me. First of all, Brock is fighting Ibragimov, Valuev is fighting Beck, Rahman is fighting Maskaev, Ruiz and Peter are out of the question, which leaves Wlad nothing whatsoever from top 10 except Toney and Liakhovich. A fight with 230 lb Toney would be just pathetic. A fight with Liakhovich would be very exciting and pretty interesting. That would also go well with Wlad's willingness to unify.

Actually, fighting Peter again is not a bad idea...

I don't think so. Peter lost to Wlad and chased a nobody around the ring trying to "show that he can box too". That definitely doesn't desrve a title shot IMO. If anything, avenging his loss to Brewster would be much better than fighting Peter again.

Valuev has the WBA belt, therfore he is one of the top guys in the division. Klitschko will never become the undistputed champion until he unifies the title by fighting and defeating every challenger. Actually I suspect that Valuev's manager would not accept the fight against Klitschko if a serious offer was made. He is well aware of how vulnerable Valuev is. Nevertheless, Klitschko should still make the offer.

thats strange most fighters are either scared of valuev or want to fight him to be a 'giant killer'

i would hate to be the man refereeing that fight

This is complete garbage! If Wlad wants to unify the belts, he should fight and beat each one of the beltholders including Valuev. Plus, the fight's a huge payday for both if it is fought in Europe's Las Vegas(Germany) and put on HBO for the North American viewers.

Liakhovich is fighting Mcbride next! That just leaves Toney.

First, IMO James Toney should not be granted an infinite amount of title shots. There's more deserving fighters in the heavyweight division that should get a title shot like Brock, Briggs, or Ruiz.

Secondly, I thought that their was plans for a rematch between Brewster and Liakavich. Is that why Mcbride pulled out of his May fight on the undercard of Hatton-Collazo?

Thats what is being said! Brewster is out till his detached retina heals so Liakhovich is fighting Mcbride in the meant time. Brock is fighting Ibragimov in june I think, maybe july, Briggs doesn't want none even though he says he does and Ruiz is trying to get a rematch with Valuev so Wlad doesn't have too many options unless he is willing to wait atleast 6 months. I realize what you are saying about Toney and I agree but that is a big money fight for both Wlad and Toney and they both are going to end up waiting.
