Take the hate to another thread... I'm only concerned with non-biased debate here
no hate.....just reality and realistic expectations for a good fighter
GGG is a very good fighter and his resume is lacking that elite name to make him a household name and star. HBO is putting in work and getting him hype. He has endorsements. Thats a start but no matter how good you are, if you dont fight the best, fans will remind you. Bro, why go from fighting a dominic wade type, a prospect....then go fight a retired middle aged guy who last fought at 147...Money...thats nice but its not impressive doing what you're supposed to. Same for Canelo. He should be fighting middleweights.
besides being the first to beat Mayweather, what would he really gain? A world class middleweight is supposed to beat a 39 year old welterweight. PERIOD
What makes my post biased? Wanting a guy to fight the best in his division, or move up if they wont fight him?
O I get it, you prefer he fight a former lightweight
The Canelo PPV with GGG will easily break 750K. A million wouldn't surprise me at all.
Not sure about 1 million but it could do very well. Still I think HBO would have to offer Floyd a huge amount of guaranteed money. Something he would not be able to make with anyone else.
I could see him make 50 million fighting Thurman, or Garcia. Unless the offer for GGG is significantly higher why would Floyd entertain it?
Quite frankly why would anyone?
