I mean, in some remotely far-fetched scenario even? I know it's not likely but then again- Floyd loves money, and no fight on the planet makes more money than this one would.

Personally I don't see it happening because its an extremely risky fight for Floyd, even if he sets a catchweight (very likely).

High risk low reward, don't see it happening. im sure he's going for Danny as his 50th fight. all they gotta do is hype up danny being undefeated and casuals will eat it up

Meh at this point its High risk, VERY HIGH reward. Particularly if it's for the lineal title at 160

Canelo is the lineal champion at 160, not Golovkin.

          Never.

On a different topic, how the hell would Floyd be able to make "9 figures" from fighting Garcia? That 9 figure talk is either for a 3 fight deal or it means Pacquaio or Canelo.

Gotta be a multi-fight deal. I could see him making 9 figures in two fights. No way it happens in one fight vs Garcia though.

2 simple reasons why it will never happen:
#1: Golovkin's first weight class is MW. Mayweather has never weighed more than 151 for his JMW fights.
#2: Golovkin hasn't accomplished a damn thing at JMW. Who in the world would give Mayweather credit for potshotting his way to a boring decision over a guy that had to drain 6 extra pounds?

Andre Ward never got credit for stopping Dawson. Mayweather would never get credit for a boring decision vs. Golovkin at 154.

no, and i don't even want to see it. i wouldn't blame GGG for taking it if it was somehow on the table - it would be financially irresponsible not to - but a strong, prime MW versus a retired WW? no thanks

Yeah, right after Floyd fights prime Margarito.

Little surprised Showtime even allowed Golovkin's name to come up in association with Floyd though. We had Espinoza talking to Ring Magazine last week about Golovkin fighting Jacobs. Wonder if GGG's contract is really up with HBO and Showtime might be set for a push?
