A lot of boxing fans would agree that fighting Floyd, one of the best we've seen in our time, at a catch weight is a lot different than fighting a guy who's good, but who Floyd embarrassed for 12 rounds. Canelo isn't on the same level as Floyd. Fight GGG at 160. Canelo weighs 170-175 on fight day anyway.

No, not on the same level. Canelo is asking for a weight that Golovkin probably could make and still win. Floyd made a guy struggling to make 154 go to 152, truly a different level.

The belt is for 160 pounds, no less.
First GGG takes the belt than he can drop to 155.

Why dont you download the rules for WBC, WBA, IBO and IBF. I haven't downloaded, WBA, IBO or IBF, but the WBC regulations say if the champion fights at the weight he is champion in, his title will be on the line, and im pretty damn sure the other three have a similar rule. So yes if GGG fights Canelo all his belts will more than likely be on the line.

I think you're confusing mandatory challengers with a title defense. You have to be rated by the sanctioning body for that body to allow GGG to claim a fight as a mandatory defense of the specific title, but if GGG fights at Middleweight his titles will be on the line and be simply counted as a voluntary defense not an obligatory defense to that specific title. Which means he would still have to fulfill obligations to all his titles should he win the fight.

Fhuk are you talking about? Who am I defending? Im pointing out a WBC rule, and if you would have read my previous post where I remind others that GGG said he would fight Canelo at a catch weight but not as a mando, then you would have a better idea of the point I am making. Which is GGG would fight Canelo at a catch weight, but as the champ, not the mando.

No, GGG said he would consider a catchweight but not for his belts. He'll take the vacated belt if Canelo is too puss to fight at mw, then maybe he'd fight Canelo at 154.

Golovkin would get paid more to fight canelo lol. But I guess he'd gain more boxing wise by beating floyd

And would BE a CAREER payday for GGG as well as give him his 1st REAL win... What's not to love about that???

I Don't believe this. Why does Forbes has his net worth at 25mil?

Robert Garcia is biased towards Canelo from his past interviews I've seen.

Tell his boy Canela to drop the middleweight titles, then he can discuss a catchweight bout against GGG.
