To those mentioning Spence, he isn't even mandatory anyway, he has a final eliminator still. That mandatory won't be due until around December or early next year i think.
Anyway, Brook v Vargas is ok, a unification match but let's be fair, it's hardly the big fight they were promising to deliver for Brook.
Brook v Garcia is the match to be made. Neither are scheduled to fight anybody. But i suspect Garcia's team wouldn't put him in with Brook and i also suspect that he's waiting on Mayweather's move. If Floyd is going to fight in September like some have said, Garcia will 100% be the opponent.Comment

Danny Garcia isn't going to the UK.Why would he talk about him? No one has won the IBF eliminator yet
Errol Spence (20-0, 17KOs) will have one final hurdle to overcome before he can secure a mandatory world title shot. The International Boxing Federation has ordered Spence and Konstantin Ponomarev (30-0, 13KOs) to collide in a final world title eliminator.
Why is Danny Garcia not available??Comment

Let's keep it simple guys. This is not rocket science. Hearn/Brook had expressed interest in Danny "Businessman" Garcia. (Who doesn't want Garcia? Everybody wants him.)
That was days before the Algieri/Spence fight. Second week, Hearn repeated Garcia's name. 2 weeks passed and no response from the businessman. Around the same time, after the Algieri fight, Dibella/Spence called out Brook. Hearn responded, "Call me." Spence camp did nothing.
Vargas is the only one who is interested.Comment

So 2 non punchers, 1 who hasn't fought at 147 before and another who got beat by Bradley and is currently over hyped. Typical Brook, oh and typical fans of boxing going along with this like usual but only for Brook. I can't imagine what the backlash would have been if these 2 were in contention of being Khan's big summer fight. Brook like always keeps getting passes for some reason.Comment

I have history of bashing Brook for taking on Bizier level opposition for one whole year since the Porter fight. They even tried to cherrypick Rios and Chaves. Fans got sick of it.
But this time he wants Garcia, who is not interested. I'd prefer Peterson because he beat Garcia in my book. I blame Peterson's trainer for not letting Peterson be Peterson, and thus started the fight running like a headless chicken, which most likely displeased the judges.Comment
