Canelo fans, can you explain why he won't fight Golovkin?

    Has never fought a MW.
Has never weighed in at MW
Has yet to defend his "MW title" that he won off a guy who's not a MW, all the whilst they've been trying to make Canelo vs Cotto since before Cotto lost to Trout. The MW strap was just an added bonus Cotto had picked up on the way.
Canelo might still vacate for all aforementioned reasons.
Not giving Golovkin one ounce of upper hand (weight)

    Need I say more?

Canelo will fight him, but under his terms. So 155 lbs or nothing.

The ball is in Golovkin's court.
How do you figure? Team Canelo said will marinate but not too much, some day, down the line. So not even that all time disgraceful CW is on offer.

Are you just cheering it on to make Floyd's very bad, very funny 152 demand look better? Cause as pathetic that was, this is 10x worse

        • Is a Middleweight and is afraid to fight other MW at his size.
        • Fights at Middleweight for the last couple years. (MW = 154.1-160)
        • Fights at Light Heavyweight (170-175) on fight night.
        • Tried making the Cotto fight at 156 because he is getting bigger.
        • Forced Khan to move up to 155, even though Khan wanted 153.
        • Is scared to death from his mandatory
        • Is a Disgrace to Mexico and the sport of boxing
        • Will bow down to GGG and drop the belt like a little scared biatch.

Sounds like the worst paper champ ever. Strip him ASAP, and we'll take it from there

But please, make your case. And for the record, the Khan fight is intriguing to me. A long shot for Khan, but I think Canelo is shooting himself in the foot from a star building standpoint by barely making 155 and choosing a very fast, potentially very very high rate offense, boxing savant with him.
My opinion is that he wanted to stay at the 154 division ( I know he made up the 155 division but that was just until he fought for a tittle) but then he finally got the Cotto fight he wanted and Cotto happen to have the 160 tittle... The reason I say canelo wanted to stay at 154 is for the same reason Hopkins stayed at 160... All the money was with the smaller fighters.... I'm a canelo and GGG fan and I know GGG is a beast, no way should he fight him untill he fights a true middleweight and settles in down at 160... GGG will go on to win titles at 168/175 while canelo will probably retire at 160.

No I think he wanted Cotto specifically for his win over Martinez and landing the lineal. Cotto's numbers were terrible for his Martinez fight and we all know Cotto would be asking a large part of the pie. I see what your saying about Canelo not being ready to fight a total killer like Golovkin but that's the price you have to pay when you market yourself as the best there is superstar. The only right thing Canelo could do is vacate.
              1. He is hurting the 160lb division by pulling a even more gutless move than Cotto.
              2. If he cared about the sport of boxing, he'd let the rightful middleweight champion get it.

And Canelo's balls are on the line. He should cut them off and become a unick. Then he could comfortably make 154 for a few more years

when the limit is 155 is not MW, is a CW fight that happens lot more closer to jmw than mw, is a common practice among boxers to fight 1 pound over the limit when there is no title on the line, you can say canelo hasnt fought at jmw since his floyd fight but at the same time he also didnt fight at mw... if you want to call canelo a MW for that then you should do the same with most of the jmw fighters that also have fought at CWs above 154...
now canelo must make a decision and pick a division if he wants to continue holding the mw title, defending it at cw vs actual MWs will be BS...

anyways Daniel Jacobs is the best middleweight next to GGG so that fight will be good and i guarantee you, in fact lets make a bet that GGG will take that fight and if anyone backs out it will be jacobs.

how about that, put your money where your mouth is.
Golovkin was never going to get the Cotto-Alvarez winner; let us make that point absolutely clear. Golovkin is left, as he is now, with his **** in his hand , hoping against hope that K2 can make a big enough offer to Billy Joe Saunders to give him a big fight this summer.

Ward offered Golovkin a for sure chance at a career-defining fight, and he turned ***** on national TV.

I'd be more than happy to put up some money, I'm just not sure how you'd actually pay me my money; neither guy, I don't think, is afraid of the fight, but the simple logic says that K2 sees the fight as a far less sensible fight than DiBella Entertainment/Haymon does, prompting them to walk away when the talks break down and things head towards bids.

                    What's the wager?

Bro quit stretching the truth. That is within the middle weight limit. It's a CW in the MW division. MW isn't 160 only. If that were the case then why won't he drop the belt if he isn't a MW?
Truth is Can'tNelo is holding the belt hostage because he knows he gets murked by GGG.
My issue is wtf? Why not fight GGG and get your azz handed to you go back to the drawing board and fight him again in a year or two? Why is he so scared of losing again?!
