If no Alvarez, Saunders, Jacobs, Eubank then do it. Stephen Espinoza is already c*ck blocking Danny Jacobs (and likely Chavez Jr too). Beat Brook in a summer fight in the UK, raise GGG's profile in the UK so that he's better able to make big fights with Saunders, Eubank, and DeGale.

Other than the Canelo and Jacobs fights, if Brook is down for it I would like to see this fight.
Everyone else at MW sucks right now.
And no, GGG isn't ducking Brook...doubt anyone actually said that. What this is, is a name opponent. Can't get fights? This is better than Wade, Adama, Monroe types. From #3-#10 MW isn't very appealing. Saunders isn't very good. The rest are not even worth rating, although Eubank Jr has potential.

It's never going to happen anyway, and what weight would it happen? Brook isn't going to go up the full 160.
Then you could argue that if GGG can negotiate a fight with Brook at like 157, then there's no reason why they can't with Canelo. Although i totally agree the Canelo fight should not be under 160, because he has a MW belt but sometimes you might just have to sacrifice a few things to get something done. It is ridiculous that a MW champ wants to fight at 155 though. I suspect Canelo's team would find another excuse anyway if GGG agree'd to the weight.
But in regards to Brook, i really don't see it happening but if it did, it would be a similar situation to Khan v Canelo. Brook would have little to lose. If he gets beaten, so what? he would be expected to lose and can still go back to 147 and will still have his belt. So i could see why they would take the fight, but at the end of the day i just can't see Hearn putting one of his biggest earners in with GGG when he doesn't need to. And there's nothing in it for GGG anyway? at best he can knock out a Welterweight which does nothing for his reputation, and at worst he loses to a WW which which destroys his reputation.Last edited by deathofaclown; 04-29-2016, 07:03 AM.
