The only people who constantly make those "Al Haymon is going broke" threads are all Pacquiao/Golovkin fanboys. Doesn't take a genius to figure out why.

      are u serious?
If HBO is unwilling to properly invest in boxing (staging nothing but mismatches and basically moving any kinda competitive fight to PPV). why should they be kept around?

Showtime/CBS has invested a considerable amount of time/money into the sport of boxing, the Mexican TV channels continue with their regular boxing programming, ESPN is likely still interested in carrying boxing, and FS1/SpikeTV seem to both have fallen in love with carrying combat sports content.

Rather than the hegemony being around Top Rank being the house promoter for HBO and their budget (that dwarfs every other outfit), the new hegemony is going to be around Haymon-affiliated fighters/promoters delivering content for CBS/Showtime (who's boxing budget dwarfs everyone else carrying fights), in addition to ESPN/SpikeTV/FS1, with everyone else on the outside looking in.

Wow. What a title for a thread.

These Haymon fanatics don't even want to address the mismatches uncle Al keeps making. I've cited Lara's last 3 fights against bums which earned him just less than $3 million. For what? For effing nothing. Same Lara who can't draw flies. There was Andrade who literally stalked him like he's a movie star. Fight never happened. There were also Williams and the Charlo brothers.

Keep on burning money uncle Haymon.

if we go to that, PBC is has not given us a good fight.
And they took away FNF, which was the only place to watch un-biased fights.

What ever happened to prove it or shut the **** up mentality?

Leaked information is not investigative journalism. Pointing out what you'd know if you paid attention to finance in general is not investigative journalism. Most writers today have little credit under their belts as anything but a writer. I mean, think of the narrative you just handed yerself. Some ******* pays attention in grammar class and now he's a contracts expert is he? **** you, **** the ******* who made this thread, **** the ****** ****s who called him silly, and **** every ****sucker what reckons sources are articles. Your are ****ing dumb.

Bada-boom realest guy in the room.

You do realize that BoxingScene has many industry regulars... threads like these only fuel the real industry haters to continue trying to shut down PBC.

HBO should be very fortunate having Alvarez. Without Alvarez they would fold sooner, meaning the worst it has ever been. Lil'G nor Chocolatito could save it.

there are real industry regulars that read these forums regardless of Pac or Lil'G likings. It's more political players than that.

Who's happy that HBO Boxing is failing? Their budget and ratings keep declining that is not healthy. It's quite possible HBO will move on from boxing. I was listening to an NPR interview with an HBO exec and he talked about the recent free weekend, didn't mention their boxing. There are way more people hoping for PBC's downfall.

I'd hope no one wants HBO Boxing to go away, but there definitely seems to be some writing on the wall with how HBO feels about HBO Boxing, but the writing on the wall has been going on for over a decade now so who knows when HBO will actually get out of the boxing business. And **** man maybe they actually decide to invest more like they used to if the trajectory of boxing changes. I just don't think I'd place my bet on that with how things look for boxing.

And this $925M lawsuit news is interesting along the lines of what exactly is PBC's bankroll, but who knows how legit it is. For all the people from boxing who've looked into this no one has brought up $925M til these upset investors trying to get their money back did.

If it is correct then it would seem like PBC's recent moves aren't outta desperation so much as they are a Plan B after Plan A was poorly executed or just a ****ty plan that didn't work as they had expected & a lot of money was put into PBC's infrastructure.

It's not Haymon's money. He can burn someone's money all he wants.

Haymon fanboys would rather bash HBO rather than help straighten the mess. It's like your house is on fire and you say, "his house is burning too, no problem."
