The difference is that Khan was turning those fights down for lesser fights.

Brook is struggling to get those fights.

Cotto's team admit they turned down a Brook fight, Arum said he wasn't interested in Bradley-Brook, Thurman-Porter are tied up....unifying world titles is a good move to add to your name,

He's been in with a few fighters that sport 70%+ KO ratios and wanted Cotto...he's not hiding anything.

Vargas is a weak champion, physically smaller than a lot of WW's, no power and a very poor boxer.

However i have no issues with Brook facing him because it's for a belt, and it may open up more doors for him. I'm all on board for the fight.

But don't pass this off as some kind of big summer fight. Vargas is no threat to Brook, it'll be over within 3 rounds. I just hope after this Brook actually fights someone who maybe somewhat of a challenge.

ali is a unproven fighter and lets be honest he was beating Vargas until the stoppage.

the first time ali remotely stepped up he lost

khan has a weak chin, is this news to anyone?

you hit khan with a decent punch, he will wobble, hit him hard enough and he will drop, what point are you trying to make?


fact is vargas is not a puncher, 30% ko ratio, brook would have to be packin some serious glass to get ko'd by vargas

while i think brook doesnt have the strongest of chins, its going to take a bigger puncher than vargas to expose it

But Brook has fought 36 times and never stepped in the ring with a puncher.

Vargas is no test, weak champion, who won the title by default against a unproven, glass jawed, feather fisted opponent...just like how Charles Martian won his title.

I don't blame Brook for taking it, but to pass off Vargas as this amazing boxer is ****in laughable

When will Brook face someone with genuine power?

I genuinely don't believe that Spence is afraid to fight someone who can **** he has wanted to fight the top three of the WW division Porter, Brook and Thurman but two of those have avoided him I'm sure you know who.

Vargas has already been beat that's the problem with this fight, Spence is like the AJ to the welterweight division with a proper good amateur background to boot when will one of those guys with a belt give him his due shot or will we just pretend Kevin Bizier and Jo Jo Dan actually did anything to deserve a shot?
