Comments Thread For: Jessie Vargas is Ready and Willing To Unify With Kell Brook

The welterweight champion of the World Boxing Organization, Jessie Vargas, is confident that he can land a big unification for the summer. Vargas has issued a challenge to WBC welterweight champion Danny Garcia, who is interested in the match. Garcia doubts the contest can happen because of his affiliation with manager Al Haymon and Premier Boxing Champions, while Vargas is promoted by Top Rank. Haymon and Top Rank are involved in an ongoing lawsuit.

Unification is good, but I feel bad for Vargas. Here's a guy who is actually willing to take tough fights, and of course the only one he can get is the very toughest one out there. Where's Danny Garcia? I hate this sport, or at least the politics behind it. Hopefully these new lawsuits put Haymon out of boxing.

I love it! haymond is bad for boxing. all the shows he puts on are pitiful mismatches vs fighters I never even seen before and I try to watch as much boxing as I can.

back to vargas. I'm a fan. I'm convinced hes force to reckon with. his hand skill is ridiculous, he can go blow for blow with the best. he counters the jab with a deadly 1-2 its pretty to punch to see.

He should sign with Al Haymon. No options in Top Rank , Bradley or Rios.
