Canelo and Khan (two guys that never had a fight at the MW limit) fighting for the lineal MW title is a complete sham. And this, coming from a big Canelo fan. Vacate the title and continue fighting the best fighters at whatever weight, but don't do it for the linealW championship of the world. Everyone knows that's bull****.

This sounds absolutely terrible from Canelo.
Shows how little a genuine excuse he really has.
He's a big guy even for a middleweight as his weighins show. He has no excuse and it's embarrassing hearing him go on like that.

He then re-hydrated up an incredible 8 lbs to come into the fight at 174 against Angulo. "
I gonna tell you something, I have had few amateur fights here in Europe when I was 18-19 years old(I'm now 31).
So I have been making weight, I could rehydrate at best 6-7 lbs eating almost nothing the day before then running to lose some sweat (never did that much by the way).
I just DON'T UNDERSTAND how you can lose then rehydrate 20 lbs in 24H and being competitive for 36 minutes in a such violent and intense sport like boxing.
Are those guys being blood drained?
Can somebody please enlight me?

He hasn't fought at JMW since 2013.
If it looks like a MW, Carries a MW belt, Fights within the MW weightclass (above 154), then it IS a Middleweight.
Either man up and fight as an actual middleweight, or vacate move back down. I'd rather he just admitted he has no interest in fighting Golovkin anytime soon and will vacate, at least everyone knows where they stand then and everyone can move on from it.
Also, i could totally understand the catchweight if Canelo was 154 champ and GGG was 160, but he has a ****ing MW belt and obviously has fought above 154 for almost 3 years now for a reason. It's just absolutely ludicrous.
Also, seeing as it's blatantly obvious now he won't fight GGG, i'm hoping Khan beats him. That would be embarrassing losing to a guy who was still fighting 144 catch-weights a few fights ago. But on the other hand i hope Canelo wins because he will finally be exposed as the ducker he is when WBC say he has to fight GGG or vacate, and then he vacates.Last edited by deathofaclown; 04-26-2016, 09:01 AM.
