Probably but everyone thought Buster Douglas was gonna get slaughtered also. Eventually someone is going to extend Golovkin and I'm ready to see it .All the people that keep bringing Golovkin and Ward up are pretty silly .Ward has monster in his path this fall .If he gets by Kovalev and that's a gigantic IF and Golovkin can settle his business in the MW division then maybe he will jump two full weight divisions and square off with Ward , lol .

I don't see that happening. He may jump to 168 fight 1 or 2 of the top 168lbers, my bet is on Ramirez and Chunky. Then stay at 160 waiting for art the jmws and Canelopweight champions to move up.

Seems you are making excuses. He moved up. He's signed to fight Kovalev. No CW was ever mentioned. I mean I literally don't even get the Ward hate at this point. Every negative thing you guys say is speculative. It's not like Ward is some unproven hype job that's ducked anyone.

Arum's thinking is obviously Oscar's thinking, but its also why boxing suffers. Boxing isn't unlike WWE in some ways. I mean boxing is real, but in a strongly individual one on one sport you need to have a tournament format or you need to give the people what they want. Boxing doesn't have a tournament format & it doesn't give fans what they want often enough. Thats a problem & its why boxing promoters are taking smaller & smaller money in going forward & its why the boxing fan base isn't being renewed with new fans as they are now going to the UFC/MMA. Someone in boxing needs to worry about the long game.

His team didn't want to fight Ward. I never denied it and I'm addressing that, but this is now and Canelo is a champion in the MW division.

He wants all the belts at 160. Why are you hating on him for trying to fight another champion in his division?

There is a very real possibility that Golovkin puts a beating on Canelo, but you guy's don't want to hear that.

I dont know why he moved up you would need to be on the inside of his team to really know , my guess is he was after a really big name with the long lay off time is running out for him to stamp his career , after GGG ducked him at 168 he thought ok lets go for Kov thats the next really big name near him .

You assume alot in what you think but ignore what happens for real at the same time , if he was in so much trouble making 168 he would just jumped straight to 175 , he wanted 170 first then settled for 172 and now its 175 that path tells me he can make 168 and is building up into 175 .

Im no fanboy I understand weight probably better than most in here , Ward is a hell of a fighter and I believe he would school GGG , but Kov is a much bigger version of GGG with more power making it a real test for Ward and he can definitely get wiped out by Kovalev , hats of to him for trying .
