Why he won't just fight him at all costs is beyond me
What's said in public is haggling, he's not gonna come down to 155 though, because that'd significently weaken him.

GGG has three 160 pound titles, and Canelo has three. Why would they fight at anything other than 160.

You dont call out a bunch of guys at a particular weight and then when a guy at the weight says yes fight me then you give him a CW , are you for real its a DUCK as plain as the nose on your face !
Wait a minutes, was it a duck when HBO and K2 offered Ward a fight and he turned it down.

And Ward didn't even offer to fight GGG right away, he wanted GGG to sign a contract with an even split, but then the fight would take place in 18 months. How is that a serious offer?

Ward probably figured GGG was lined up to start getting major play, and wanted to at least get his 50/50 now. But Ward had no intention of fighting GGG until Fall of 2016.

K2 told him maybe early 2017, a fact both camps agree on.

So how the **** is it a duck if they've offered him a fight, gets turned down. The Ward waits until GGG is lined up to get his unification belts,a goal he's publicaly stated since 2012.

That's not a duck, that's a I'm busy now, and no I ****ing won't lock myself to you for 50/50 a full year and a half before the fight. But in 2017, let's get it on. Ward doesn't want it then, why. Because it will be 70/30 with GGG popularity. Ward doesn't want to get ****ing blasted by Golovkin for 30 split.

Whose ducking who. GGG says yes both times, Ward now says never.

Boxing doesn't have a tournament format & it doesn't give fans what they want often enough. Thats a problem & its why boxing promoters are taking smaller & smaller money in going forward & itts why the boxing fan base isn't being renewed with new fans as they are now going to the UFC/MMA. Someone in boxing needs to worry about the long game.
good points. People like combat sports and that void is being filled by UFC. Boxing really dropped the ball on capturing a new audience by really ****ing up over the last ten years. And now it's even worse.

Cause it pits 2 of the biggest stars in boxing, those tend to be big.

He wants all the belts at 160. Why are you hating on him for trying to fight another champion in his division?

There is a very real possibility that Golovkin puts a beating on Canelo, but you guy's don't want to hear that.
Being critical is not hating , I dont hate any fighter , Im critical of the way GGG talks one thing as does another , sure fight Canelo get the belts but dont use that to duck and weave around other fights while fighting bum after bum , in the meantime fight the Laras Brooks Wards they are well known fighters , if name guys say I will fight you take them dont issue some BS to not fight them then go of and fight bums , the belts dont mean sht , who holds them means everything , Brook Lara Ramirez Ward are head and shoulders above whats on GGGs resume , I like GGG as a fighter he is a beast but he is talking BS .

Look I know I've gone all negative on canelo.....but he can put up a decent effort for at least 5 or 6 rounds against golovkin....but golovkin in the end will punch to accurate and to powerful and it will just break canelo...and because he lacks footwork or fast feet he won't be able to keep away and he will absorb some massive shots.....lets put this straight to be able to beat golovkin you need middleweight power and you need stamina to be able to hang with him....if canelo could not hurt a smaller cotto who by the way was dropped and stopped by pacquaio and had his legs buckled with Floyd ....how can canelo hurt golovkin..canelo has great timing and can throw good combinations but he lacks fire power at middleweight and that how you know canelo will never be the number 1 middleweight in the world....but fighters dare to be great and it was no different when pacquaio beat cotto..or even Leonard beat hagler..so canelo is not doing anything different to what they did....great fighters find a way to win...... I Just don't see how canelo can beat golovkin because he simply cannot change his footwork or style....if canelo don't want to lose badly then don't fight him just give up the belt and return to 154lb..it's that simple

I seriously think people are underestimating Canelo. I definitely see Cinnamon not only being competitive, but also dangerous in this matchup. Canelo is a big dude and he has the skillset and power to hang with GGG. I really hope this fight happens because it's gonna be a barnburner!
