That the offer was made and rejected isn't being questioned. What's being questioned is whether GGG should be criticised for rejecting it.

I would say no, he would have been crazy to accept it. He already had a contract with the WBC to fight for their MW title and had been paying them sanctioning fees for the interim belt since he beat Rubio.

The WBC would probably have torn that contract up if he'd signed another tying him in to building toward a fight with Ward at 168 during the same time frame.
