What's the Difference Between GGG vs Wade and...

    Hopkins vs Johnson?

Johnson just like Wade never went 12 rounds. He fought at 160 just one previous time in his 32 fights. His 32 fights consisted 90% of fighters with losing records. He didn't start boxing until age 20. He had 3x last amatuer fights than Wade, 10 years less experience than Wade. Was never even considered for Olympic competition.

By the way Glen Johnson went on to get the hell beat out him by the vastly superior Hopkins. Losing every single round and stopped in the 11th.

And last but not least it was mandated by the IBF. The same organization that has mandated several mismatches over the last 25 years but m'fers acting like GGG vs Wade is the worst of them. And atleast Wade is rank #3. Johnson was ranked #8.

Not taking anything away from Johnson, he turned into a very good fighter 7 years and 9 losses later but at the time he fought Hopkins he was green as hell and hadn't even fought a fighter as good Soliman.

There's a lot of revisionist historians on this board and no he wouldn't be the best win on GGG's resume. He went on to lose to several fighters severely worst than Lemule, Geale, And Murray before coming into his own.

The real question is, who had Hopkins fought BEFORE he fought Johnson?

If you need somebody to explain to you the difference between Glen Johnson and Wade then you are as dumb as I already believe you are

Using the ratings, boxrec, and amateur records in this situation is just asinine.

        1. Wade has looked terrible and Johnson was beating who he was supposed to, how he was supposed to.

        2. Wade arguably lost his last fight and hasn't fought in a year. Johnson was extremely active

        3. Johnson was a 3 time Florida State golden gloves champion. His amateur career wasn't too shabby. Don't be fooled by these inflated 205-6 amateur records.

The only thing I'm looking at is what Johnson did prior to facing Hopkins, what he did 2 years after facing Hopkins, and what he did in the fight. Like I said he hadn't fought anyone prior, he lost several times afterwards, and he got the **** beat of him for 11 rounds straight.

Nice try. These GGG stans are incorrigible.

Going into both fights, you are right. Both are unproven really.

But good luck. The GGG haters on here won't stop. This is a 24/7 gig for them.

                  1. Same can be said about Wade.

                  2. Wade arguably lost to a battle tested vet. Johnson fought no one near that caliber. Almost all his win were against fighters with losing records.

                  3. Wade amatuer career is still better, he still fought in the Olympic Trails, and won state championships.

This isn't a Wade defense thread, he's going to get his **** pushed in without a doubt but let's not pretend IBF hasn't mandated fights like this before and that other MW champs (Hopkins) didn't partake in them.

And you know what's crazy Mr. Miles? You're going to play that #3 ranking card like it's meaningful. But you yourself, Mr. Miles hold the opinion that Wade lost his last fight.

                    See Exhibit 1:

I don't understand how you can just sit back and not throw punches and still get a decision.

As for rankings Soliman firmly stays in the top ten and shouldn't be removed because 2 judges decided to do him tonight.
So Mr. Miles, how do you justify a #3 ranking for a guy that only won 2 rounds in his last fight?

How about you call a spade a spade, and support our quest to get better matchups so that boxing doesn't get whitewashed by UFC?
