BASICALLY
Anyone with credibility knows Jones and Mayweather are top 5...either could easily be number one....no one was more dominant than these guys in their prime.
Literally Jones ran the 90s and Mayweather the era after....the dominated the bulk of the last 35 years between them...both were considered p4p types over a decade
DLH over whitaker? Whitaker didnt lose a legit fight til he was past prime like jOnes
all 3 of these guys are far too low
OMG and some of the other selections are complete contradictions.

Leonard, Chavez, Holyfield all did more in their careers. The same would go for Pacquiao, Mayweather, Hearns. So I'm not sure how Jones would rank top 5. There may be an argument for him to be above Hopkins but that's a pretty slim argument. In a decade in which he was supposedly voted FOTD, his best win was Toney.
It's still a great accomplishment to be top 10 but I can't imagine him being top 5. Maybe from an american perspective but not an objective one.
But one ranking doesn't make an entire list crap. I'll be waiting for your list, see how and why you rank the guys the way you do. Till then, read and enjoy and eat some fried chicken.Comment

That's highly debatable on a global, non HBO scale. Holyfield had the greatest win and achievement of the 90s (2 time lineal heavyweight champ and a KO over Tyso). Jones didn't come close to that.
And in the decade that followed, Pacquiao was voted as THE man.
You can't just have a top 10 because you like someones hip hop credentials. Or better still, post your own list. And it's ridiculous that out of a list of almost 50 people, wit ha set criteria, you can only fanboy over 2 or 3 names. That's sad.

Holyfield is a great fighter.....had great fights but he was never the fighter Roy Jones was man.
that version of Tyson was after years away from boxing...If it happened in 1992 like it was supposed to it would be bigger....both men were past prime by then
WTF are hip hop credentials? Put it this way.....do you see any middleweights today that could win titles at 160, 168, 175 and a heavyweight belt against a top 5 heavy....John ruiz was a top 5 heavyweight..hated his style but he had one of the better resume of that era

I dont care what Manny was voted......most accolades are popularity contests and most the time the more beloved fighter wins
Manny lost to a past prime erik morales and never beat JMM cleanly 1 time out of 4.....Mayweather was undefeated in the decade and was a champion since 1998......We all know you're biased man
