Comments Thread For: Andre Ward: I'm Not a Fan of Golovkin, I Respect Canelo

Ward always sounding pissy. He's being bitter because he had to move a weight division (which he still cuts weight for) and fight guys his own size. The fact that he's supporting Canelo, when Canelo's under heat to vacate or fight Golovkin, makes him sound desperate for attention and support.

It is my opinion GGG isn't as good as Manny was when he fought ODH. GGG has not fought or defeated anywhere near the caliber of opponents Manny had to this point in his career. You seem to disagree, but haven't outright said it, just passively aggressively say that's a matter of opinion.Last edited by OnePunch; 04-22-2016, 01:29 PM.

I just don't get it even If I was a Yank I'd not like Ward we're all forgetting he failed in court and inevitably through that he wasted precious time of someone who was on borrowed times life just because Ward thought he was owed something which he wasn't.
No apology to Dan's family from Ward for that such a lovely religious guy, right?
Makes me want to vomit this angle he is going on is pathetic.
Ward is too much of a gossiping diva for anyone to really take him seriously imo not how someone should act If you're wanting to be popular.

Ward turned pro at 160, he only competed at LHW in the olympics to accommodate Andre Dirrell who was also a talented fighter at MW. You probably already know this...
This whole Canelo situation will rightfully bite GGG and his team in the a$$, I've being telling people from day that this fight will not happen till Golden Boy want it to and that's when they feel it is winnable. The Canelo fight is not about the belts, it's GGGs best and easily most winnable bet to become a star. This is why they will probably wait as long as it takes. That belt without Canelo is just another sanctioning fee he has to pay.
hey dummy in case you didnt know, amateurs have same-day weigh-ins, so pretty much EVERYONE turns pro at a lower weight than they fought at in the ams........

You Golovkin fans can spew whatever garbage you'd like because you know that Gennady will never fight Ward. EVER. So you don't have to worry about being proven wrong like you were with Pacquiao.
Will go to 154 for Mayweather, but won't go to 155 for Canelo. 168 for Chavez Jr and Froch, but not 168 for Ward. He has to cut down to 164. Won't even entertain a Lara fight, but will fight the Willie Monroes and Dominic Wades of the world.
You can't make this **** up!

Remember the outrage when Pac-DLH got made and everyone thought Pac would get ghouled (myself included)?? Most of these so-called "champs" in and around 160 have no such illusions about their ability to beat GGG. If they did, those fights could get made......
Ward is younger, healthier and better than ODH was at that stage. Ward, if not for the inactivity, would be #1 p4p. He remains highly respected.
Anything can happen. That's why I wish the fight happened.
