Funny but DiBella is wrong for taking shots at the young fighter instead of taking aim at Top Rank.

Verdajo 22 years old and is still a Prospect trying to work his way up. I don't think he is "READY" to step up yet personally. Maybe by the end of this year or early next year yes. Even his trainer recently said he wasn't happy with his recent performance so no Verdejo doesn't need to be rushed along AT ALL!

Well, Verdejo clearly ducked Jose Felix. It's clear Top Rank has lost faith in him, and hence they will protect their investment as long as possible. It's not a good look after all that hype.

Verdejo has the tools to be a better fighter than he's shown so far. For whatever reason, however, he doesn't use his talent accurately. You don't stand in the pocket and trade; you move and catch your opponent coming in. That's what helped JuanMa beat some good names, before he went downhill.

A prime Cotto, despite not being a 1-punch KO artist, did an amazing job of this as well against Margarito. That's how you box. With Verdejo's power, he could avoid all of these struggles, if he came in with the right strategy.

Funny thing is I'm more familiar with Framer than I am with FV recent opponents as Framer has had at least 3 nationally televised fights in the last few years. I believe he could be a major problem for FV IF they fight.
