He's only 16-0, 26 years old and has been pro for 2 years and a half. October marks his 3rd year as pro. I will give him a pass for mediocre competition for the time being, it's only fair. I think he'll step up soon, probably 2017.

Definitely looking forward to it. Haven't had nearly this level of excitement in NZ Boxing since Tua was making a run.

I've got faith that Parker is the real deal, but still, Takam is a legit hurdle. Kevin Barry will have him well and truly focused on Takam, while the fans can look further ahead.

It's a shame that fight is even happening. the 2 best fighters in the top 15 of the IBF are fighting an eliminator while these undeserving bums are being given a shot lol

strange how these things work. Parker vs Takam is the only good fight in the IBF

Wilder and Haye are fighting in a month. You never hear of a champion winning a title and then announce a bum within a couple weeks...that's my first point - he could easily have those fights but wants to get his fight against a bum American to boost his profile.

My second retort is: Fury and the Fury camp have publicly stated that once they became champion they would fight the best and no exception. they are fighting the No1 2x in a row and have called out Wilder and Joshua at the same time, the other champions! both considered the best and the biggest money fights???? what is your argument here? No easy fights and they WILL fight any one. they called out klitschko for years so why be afraid of some novice?

I'm new here so don't have much points. I'll bet you everything I have that Fury beats Joshua. If you stay in the U.K, once that fight gets made, I'll meet you at the event and bet you hard cash
Name the amount you want to bet vinny....a grand shall we say....I've always stated Joshua beats fury and nothing's changed.....as for me going ****** that's because you act like a spastic up to klitchcko who the hell did fury beat lol.....he's only fighting klitchcko because it was a rematch clause so he has no choice but to face klitchcko .....your looking beyond klitchcko which is foolish..as for Joshua it's a quick defence as a filler till the big fight comes along...I see no issues with it if it's gonna be stiverne...not the greatest I admit but all the other fighters have there diary a booked so again what is Joshua going to wait and fight nobody or get some more rounds in against stiverne or even Molina who dropped wilder......there's a reason why Joshua is favourite to beat fury by the odds makers..one is he hasn't been beaten..he hasn't been dropped...he has size and when he hits fury he will be flat in his back....I seem to remember with Joshua that was always the plan to try and get another building fight and then he takes on fury or Haye

Arreola would be a fun matchup and would definitely interest us fight fans.

A grand, 5 grand, whatever. I won't believe it until I meet you face to face, no BS talk on a forum yeah, I'll be there at the event (if it happens, numbers are easily PM'd before, If I think you're serious I'll carry whatever we agree)

All that means nothing. I don't give 2 ****s about who the bookies have as favourite. I'm already looking at putting a bet on for that fight. I hope Joshua Ko's Stiverne and the hype builds even more. The bigger the odds the better.

You actually never gave one good breakdown of how Joshua beats Fury just the usual casual talk. He beats 3 guys in a row not even in the top 20 in any one's list and you think he beats the top 5-10? He hasn't even fought near that level yet or went past 7 rounds. If you're fooled by someone with his record, someone that hasn't shown any other side to their game, then I can't help you

Sure he can't negotiate with David Haye or Wilder in a month....he has an important fight against Stiverne he NEEDS to jump into straight away! please

Breazeale hasn't looked good in any fight I seen him in. Stiverne didn't look good in his last fight but went 12 with Wilder so if Joshua could some how stop him that would be a good look, plus I think Stiverne goes the most rounds with him. Molina actually got a good win since he lost to Wilder beating Tomasz Adamek. Even Duhaupas who went 11 rounds with Wilder and just beat Robert Helenius would be a good opponent for a defense.

There are not that many option considering most of the top guys are already facing each other.
                    Deontay Wilder - Alexander Povetkin
                    David Haye - Arnold Gjergjaj
                    Tyson Fury* - Wladimir Klitschko
                    Kubrat Pulev* - Dereck Chisora
                    Joseph Parker* - Carlos Takam
Lucas Browne will probably get a suspension for a failed drug test. So who is left Luis Ortiz?

This is just a stay busy fight to line him up with another big fight. Fighters are more active now with all the networks so we may get 3 fights this year from all the top Heavywieghts.

Mansour would bring it. Stiverne and those other bums would just show up for a payday. Obviously Joshua would win, but he'd win against the others as well but Amir would make it an entertaining fight.
