Yep, but fat-ass Lemieux missed weight about a week later

They should talk to Canelo, tell him they will agree to 158, or maybe 157.

They were willing to go to 157 for Brook, so why not Canelo.

The issue with weight is, would Golovkin be healthy? Well, if he is healthy at 157 for Brook then he is healthy, period.

Surely Canelo is half-a-Mayweather in terms of a draw/payday/exposure?

Well, without Canelo I don't know who is out there to give GGG his "BIG" fight. Even that sounds bad because honestly it's looking like GGG will only have one or two "big fights" before he retires. Honestly I can't name 2 fighters out there that can take GGG's resume to a Hall of Fame level. That's a shame!
I guess Ward is a hypejob if he can't beat Ggg at 161, never mind 164.

We all know GGG is "good," but what will he sacrifice to "great?"
Again ******, there's no 155 offer. Some day, down the line. Looks like you totally missed my point there, who would have thunk it

Ward already proved he's not a hype job when he won the Super Six, including beating Froch. Now if GGG had beaten Ward @ 168, we wouldn't need to have this conversation. However GGG has NOT fought Froch, Ward, Cotto, Canelo, Mayweather, or Pacquiao. He's fighting Dominic "****ing" Wade!

We'll see on May 23rd. K2 talked an awful lot about his fight, but I guess we were doing all this writing for nothing. My point is GGG (K2) shouldn't go into the negotiations saying "we won't fight at anything besides 160. They should be saying we'll do whatever it takes to get the fight done, we want to prove we're the best, and that comes from fighting the best." Something like champs have said in the past! This isn't new!

Can't beat Ggg at 161 = B level hypejob, you said it. Coward won't even dare at 164

Froch, Cotto, Floyd already ducked Ggg, remember

Remind me, which past champ said they'd drop a division - 1lb for a mando? Never happened, cause nobody had the shame to demand it before. Unprecedented, my ******ed friend

According to you and K2, everyone is ducking GGG. The Ward ship sailed to 175 because GGG didn't want none. How ironic that the guy who doesn't want to drop 5lbs. for Canelo would demand Ward to come down 4lbs. Stop with the "mando" excuses. If you want to be great, you make things happen!

Didn't MW Champ, Oscar De La Hoya demand MW Champ Bernard Hopkins to drop 3lbs. at age 39? The difference is B-Hop glady took the fight, dropped down to 156, and then dropped Oscar!

Oscar wasn't rehydrating from 154lbs heavier than Hopkins from 160lbs.

The whole point of dropping down in weight is to make a more even fight. But Canelo rehydrates higher than Golovkin as is. Canelo chooses to fight at 155lbs so that he can fight smaller men and then come in at 175lbs.

It's easier for a 25 year old to cut weight and then rehydrate 20lbs than it is for a 34 year old. That's what Canelo wants.

But it's all speculation right now as Canelo has not made any official offer to Golovkin, and Golovkin hasn't officially turned anything down.
