That statement is pure bull****. How many prospects hold two respected world titles???? How many prospects have a record of 34 wins and no losses with 31 wins by KO? How many prospects have 21 KOs in a row? How many prospects have successfully defended their world title 15 times and won all defenses by KO? How many prospects have KOed a reigning champion as he did last fight by KOing fellow champion Lemieux. How many prospects have KOed at least 9 boxers who were rated in the top 10 in the world in their weight class? How many prospects have most of the top fighters in their weight class scared to fight them? How many prospects are rated in the top 5 best pound for pound boxers in the world by Ring, ESPN, Boxing Scene, HBO Boxrec and every other place of importance who rank boxers? The answer is no prospect and very few world champions have a resume that can equal the resume of GGG. You hate him for some unknown reason. You are an ignorant fool on boxing to make such a statement and you don't know what you are talking about. I dare you to name a single middleweight fighting today who could beat GGG and would be favored to win. Not light heavyweight Ward but a middleweight. Go ahead and make yourself look even more foolish.

When you compare middleweight run with Bernard Hopkins' middleweight run, there isn't much difference really.
By the time Hopkins faced Trinidad, he had made 13 defenses and unified two of the belts.
If Golovkin faces Canelo after Wade, assuming he stops him, he will have made 16 defenses and unified two of the belts.
Hopkins' opponents' combined record was 371-34-4, having gone 13-0 with one no-contest and 9 knockouts.
Golovkin's opponents' combined record is 421-54-8, having gone 17-0 with 17 knockouts.
Hopkins was 36 years old, having fought as a pro for 11 years.
Golovkin is 34 years old, having fought as a pro for 10 years.
Hopkins had fought a few former champions.
Golovkin has fought a few former champions.
Hopkins re-matched two of his opponents.
Golovkin has never needed to rematch any of his title opponents.
Hopkins never moved up to super middleweight to prove himself.
Golovkin won't move up either and if he claimed he would and refused, then by all means, I agree. He shouldn't have said that.
Hopkins also claimed he'd never let a white boy beat him. He lost to two.
Hopkins was the last guy to unify the middleweight title and have a great run and be the man in the division. Golovkin is not far behind him when taking into account where they both were at this point.
I mean, Saunders, Jacobs, Canelo are all likely opponents next for Golovkin. It takes a long time to get a good fight when you're dangerous. I think he's right on the cusp. Maybe we're being hateful for no real reason. If his next two or three opponents are high caliber and he decimates them, then I think most of these complaints will fade away, much like they did for Bernard.

Funny how K2 either 1)shorts folks on the money to make the fight or 2)selectively picks the fighters that they are gladly to work with certain parties to make.
Golovkin won an interim WBA belt; every other "major belt" since has basically been handed to him since, lol.

the hate for this guy is intense. its getting close to the paquio/mayweather feud... not there yet but i am sure soon enough.
i think it has been established that his resume is pretty good... but its not great. As far as any single division world champions its probably one of the best out there.
No prospect can go through his resume (or equivalent) the way he did. the same people who **** on his resume seem to be very quiet about Wilder's resume, yet Wilder's next fight in povetkin is an equivalent to Gael... if GGG fought guys like Duphas, Molina, Szpiilka he dispatch of them very quickly.
