GGG passes the eye test though. I'd favor him against Canelo and Lara at whatever weight. He has the feet, agility, chin, jab, power and any other characteristic you need to be an ATG.

That said, there's something beneath the surface that tells me his team only wants him to fight a certain type of fighter. IDK if they know his weaknesses or what. But there's something there.

In the last few weeks, Loeffler was attempted to get Golovkin in the ring with top super middleweight star Carl Froch of Nottingham. Golovkin was willing to move up to 168-pounds and also had no issue with facing Froch on UK soil.

Gennady Golovkin’s promoter has learned well that finding an opponent for a middleweight champion who’s knocked out 21 consecutive opponents is not an easy task.

I keep telling ya'll. These people are trying to hustle boxing fans. Not GGG. It's his people around him. The buck does stop with him but I think he's getting bad advice. He needs a better manager or "advisor".
I must've missed something. Where's the part again where Loeffler says they won't entertain a fight with DeGale? The whole quote in context, please.

I don't think its fair to look at something like this where a person says something almost a year ago like the world quits moving a year ago. You should always be changing your POV based on new info. And things are always changing. The goalposts can often be moving targets in a competitive world like boxing.

Exactly what Floyd did fl0mo... moved up for shot ODLH, shot Cotto, or young weakened at 152 Saul el pollo cobarde Alvarez.

I don't get it. Degale indeed in 2015 brought nothing even in the UK, never mind an offer. Now he's got some momentum so Loeffler is more receptive. But Arum is showing way more initiative, and it's way more sellable on HBO ppv, and a quality fight. It's a great deal if Arum is serious

Right out of his own mouth after DeGale said he'd fight GGG. But now they're saying they'll go up for Ramirez who isn't a big name at all and judging by the number of PPV buys Manny got not many people watched him.

The DeGale fight was dismissed right away but they'll entertain Ramirez even though he's less known than DeGale.
Ramirez is a much more dangerous fight than Regale so I don't see your point,

Also how are they extortionist when they constantly provide fights at an affordable price for fans. Fans are gravitating to GGG because they can actually watch his fights without breaking the bank.

You're the same posters posting multiple reasons why Canelo and BJS can't fifgg GG and then whine when he says he's moving up to fight Ramirez.

I did read the article. Everything Loeffler says is true. Degale is not as big a draw as Froch would've been. Not PPV. He basically says "it depends"...which means it's a possibility. You're reading too much into it and comparing two quotes which are nearly 9 months apart. The Degale comment was before Lemieux with Cotto/Canelo on deck. I don't get what the problem is with any of his comments when put in context in a proper timeline.

I don't disagree with the fact GGG needs better comp now. But GGG has to get his mando out of the way, so Wade it is. Nobody likes the fight but it's necessary. Why's it necessary?...because none of the other champs want to fight him at the moment.

Here's a much more recent article quoting Loeffler about GGG/DEgale. Wonder why you couldn't dig this one up. Took me 2 minutes to find it...

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, WBA/IBO/IBF middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs) could potentially make his UK debut by the end of the year. Golovkin visited London last week, along with his promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, and there were some meetings and discussions to have GGG fight on British soil.

James DeGale has beaten Gonzales, Bute and Andre Dirrel. I won't even count Periban

                    Ramirez has beaten Arthur Abraham.

Why are people saying Ramirez is the more dangerous fighter? What am I missing here?

I think only one guy claimed that, you could ask him. This Loeffler interview was before Bute, he's sounded more interested since
