Oscar delahoya lost that fight 9-3. Only hispanic people and Floyd haters actually think that the fight was even close. Even Max Kellerman said that he scored the fight 9-3 and actually thought that it was one of Floyd's easiest fights, on which I agree, I don't think Floyd even had to leave gear two/three in that whole fight, and Floyd is a six engine vehicle.

The HBO commentators, OMG, blatant haters. I gave up on them when Emanuel Steward said that "it aint about the punches landed, it's about the number of punches thrown" , and the rest of the cast agreed with him.

And Oscar's so called jab that was supposedly effective? Lmao! I can count the number of times that jab landed on my one hand. It helped him to get Floyd against the ropes two or three times, but as far as actually landing the jab? Lmao! The only thing that jab caught was Floyd's gloves and air and Oscar abandoned it as soon as Floyd started countering it.

I do however don't feel sorry for Floyd almost getting robbed. I think it was his fault for not going for the knockout and simply coasting throughout the fight. I also blame him for lingering on the ropes in the last 10 seconds of rounds he clearly dominated. Oscar always does that **** where he throws a wild combo (that hits air and gloves) in the last ten seconds, getting the crowd cheering for him and then raising his hand in the air like he won the round or something, and that always gets judges to give him rounds he don't deserve. He did it against Pernell Whittaker too (although that fight actually was close unlike this one) and I don't see how Floyd didn't know that Oscar would do that considering the fact that that's his MO.

Anyway, hell no, no version of Oscar beats Floyd. And that 'he was old' excuse is lame, guy was only 34 and just lost every big fight he was in (mosley 2, trinidad, floyd, hopkins).

He was old. Age wise he wasn't, but as a fighter he was. That statement right there tells me everything I need to know about your arguments.

The man was more a promoter already and was at the twightlight of his career. Never judge a fighter strictly by age.

And I never said DLH was effective that night with his jab, someone else did. Floyd didn't take away his jab either, DLH just abandoned it, DLH has a habbit of throwing away fights he could have won doing similar. DLH still has the best jab in the modern history of the sport as far as I am concerned.

and 9-3 being some definitive score of the fight is laughable. You might have had a 9-3 card, but most had it closer, and no real fan is going to buy your cop-out about biases because Floyd wasn't detested at the time like he was before retirement. He wasn't the most popular fighter or the cash cow but he was a more active fighter and many people favored him going into the fight for several reasons.

You can do the whole "dlh never beats him" shpiel and get away with it since we won't ever find out, but I can give reason in and reason out as to why he would, trust me, I get into that very argument with Irondamhanza all the time and he is infinitely the more knowledgeable fan than you are, at least thus far, I don't mean that as a slight either, but him and I have been around these boards for a while.

Honestly after your response I feel you make a few good points, but you come off as someone who didn't watch the fight at the time and watched it years later.

You would probably sit there and tell me Pac's win over DLH is also some world class beating Pac and his fans should be proud of.
