This is a big money fight. From what I read he's getting 6 mil to Canelo's 10. Not bad. I'm good with this fight. It's one of the better fights of the year to me. I'm liking Ward-Kovalev, Thurman-Porter and this as my top 3 off the top of my head.

Apart from Brook who has the worst resume of all WW champions, Khan wanted nothing but the best in pacquiao, mayweather, bradley and marquez.

A big risk would have been Kell Brook, but he blatantly ducked him for Chris Algieri, and ducked all the other relevant welters in his division. He was supposed to fight Garcia in the summer as he is Garcia's mandatory, but he ducked that rematch too and jumped two weight classes to avoid.

He knew if he got KO'd again by Garcia, or if Kell schooled and KO'd him that it would be the end of his career, which is why he wanted Floyd, Pacquiao, and Canelo in that order, from the biggest cash cow to the lowest, because he wanted to cash out before his career is ended by his other peers.

You'd have to be a fool not to see this. Khan has earned none of these bouts, simply because he's been ducking real comp all along while trying to get a big payday at the same time.
This is a one-off, never to be seen again opportunity for Khan to make more outstanding money. Canelo will either lose or move up shortly and chance will be gone.

But not withstanding that consider the following >>

There may be little risk to his reputation but you try standing in a ring with someone 20lbs heavier than you on the night, someone who is trying to hit you in the head as hard as they can, someone who is trying to knock you unconscious and someone with the ability to make that happen. Someone who can put a brain bleed on you and has a higher chance of doing so because they are much bigger than you.

Now tell me that doesn't take some guts.

Regards the Garcia fight - not so much money for Khan. And it can still happen.

Here's the thing with the Brook fight. If Khan loses against Canelo the Brook fight is still there. He might have to rebuild a bit but it will still be there. If he took the Brook fight and lost would the Canelo fight still be there? Think about it and let me know.

So let me get this straight, for the first time In his entire career khan is fighting someone he isn't favored to beat, also the first opponent who poses any real threat in the past 4 yrs, and this makes him the poster boy for taking risks?

Once again, people fixated on the weight. Weight weight weight. The mother****ers are Both gonna be the same weight at the weigh-in. Possibly 10lbs or less on fight night. Go pick up a 10lb weight (if you've ever seen one) then ask yourself if that's the reason anything will happen the way it will in this fight? Then, slap yourself, and log off.

The fact is Canelo COULD (not saying he will) punch Khans head off at any weight. Quit *****ing about the fight, or don't watch it.

If Khan is as good as he says he is, he should be able to outbox Canelo. Mayweather did it. It's all about not putting yourself in position to be caught by Canelo's punch. If you get caught, chances are the damage will get done, doesn't matter if your Khan, Shawn, Hanh, or Fanh.

                    Yes..... Exactly my point:

Khan has nothing to lose. The only risk he's taking is getting seriously hurt, and ending up brain dead just looking for a pay day. There's no way the man is going to win this fight. He knows he's nothing special so he's trying to cash out before getting badly exposed.

I'd say it's medium risk for Khan. The only way this blows up in his face is if he loses badly. He doesn't want to end up in a position where his stock falls so far and has to face the guys at welterweight in order to build his reputation back up.

Could be the beginning of the end.
