SMH. These Ward and Mayweather fans. Insulted people who suggested Mayweather fight more at 154 or drop his titles. Crap on Golovkin for NOT moving up. Get out the trumpets and sing the praises for Ward moving up.

Basically depending on who the fighter is "he has to move up". Khan is being shat on for daring to be great. And what is that word "daring" ? - it's basically doing something that you know is risky before you do it. Isn't that what Khan is doing? Like taking a parachute jump - done that. Commercial fisherman in Alaska - done that and well rewarded at the time. Khan is parachute jumping, Canelo is the pilot of the plane.

I give a lot of credit to Ward for moving up. I do wish he'd get his warm ups out of the way quicker but aside from that he's doing the right thing. This is pro boxing so people going where the money is. Now if you move down 2 divisions for a big money fight don't expect any credit - just take the money and run.

Khan? Yeah, plenty of credit and plenty of money.

replace "delusional" with "brave" and your sentence makes just as much sense.

cant pick on khan for stepping up
That's not fair. People bash Canelo, when he speaks. He doesn't speak every day, all day. Khan never had a thought that he didn't need to verbalize. Stick a mike in his face and he feels obliged to blather. Notice how it's always about what he says.

Khan's point was better fights would come out of pros selectively moving up a couple of weights - ie good for fans. Everyone was saying Rigo should grow a pair a year or so ago and move up to 126 and fight Loma. Would love to see Gonzalez move up and fight Inoue or even jump to 122 to fight Rigo. Khan is right - it would make a refreshing change, we might even get Lara Golovkin or Golovkin DeGale. How about Kovalev vs some of those badass cruiserwights. Andrade vs Jacobs. Crawford vs Vargas - Khan the trendsetter?

Khan literally refused to fight all the top ww's and sat out hoping for a big money fight and ignoring all the high risk low reward fights.

Not like fighters don't end up in comas or that there are any health risks in boxing.

Khan was in negotiations with Brook when this came up.

This is a win-win because boxing is a business where you maximize your gains and minimize losses. Like fighting a washed up B-WW from the same gym as Khan to reach 49-0 or demanding catchweights to drain fighters.

            Stop being so bitter.

There's no risk if everyone already expects you to lose and you still get a big payday. Khan aint taking no risk.

A big risk would have been Kell Brook, but he blatantly ducked him for Chris Algieri, and ducked all the other relevant welters in his division. He was supposed to fight Garcia in the summer as he is Garcia's mandatory, but he ducked that rematch too and jumped two weight classes to avoid.

He knew if he got KO'd again by Garcia, or if Kell schooled and KO'd him that it would be the end of his career, which is why he wanted Floyd, Pacquiao, and Canelo in that order, from the biggest cash cow to the lowest, because he wanted to cash out before his career is ended by his other peers.

You'd have to be a fool not to see this. Khan has earned none of these bouts, simply because he's been ducking real comp all along while trying to get a big payday at the same time.

exactly and he's going to fake a injury to take a dive. then going to promote himself as the ( figh-er ) that went from jr welter to middleweight fighting the best. what a joke.

Maybe, but if you've read or just seen the headlines of Khan articles over the last 12 months or so you'd admit delusional is a more fitting choice.

He's risking his health. He's fighting pretty big puncher a weight class above and obviously out of his comfort zone. Moving up 3 divisions in like a year.
