Now if this were not Manny, and the subject was not him losing to Floyd, would you be so trusting taking everything, not just things on one side or the other, into consideration?
One can't simply say whether another person is in pain or not. When you have gone to the doctor, complaining of pain, did he or she say, "Ok, your pain is here or there, let's get you some medicine." Or, did he or she ask you where and how severe your pain was, before prescribing treatment?

Getting surface stitches is far less invasive than shoulder surgery. It's hard to believe anyone would have shoulder surgery just to support a lie.

If it were the other way around, I wouldn't say that Floyd was lying about it. I'd say the same thing I'm saying now, "I'll give you the benefit of the doubt; rematch."

    • True... Floyd lost his mind as much as Manny lost his thinking he beat Floyd. I think Floyd is just insecure while Pac is a bit dumb. I think Floyd knows PAc won easy while I think Pac really think he won the fight...

No disrespect to both these ATG boxing wise, but outside of boxing, thats how I see them. One is insecure while the other one is not very smart

        • I don't find it that hard to believe that a reporter heard Mayweather saying to Bradley that it was a draw. The trouble now though, is proving it, but I think it's true. Mayweather has visited Bradley's gym in the past to talk to him. They are likely well acquainted, probable it's the reason Mayweather bought the event.

Respectfully, he got the surgery after word came down about the lawsuits from people who attended the fight. There was a $5m lawsuit filed against Manny and his management team over allegations they knew about the fighter’s shoulder injury before the fight in Las Vegas but failed to report it to the Nevada Athletic Commission as required by law.

Would he get surgery as part of some scheme, no. Would he get it to protect $5 mil from being taken as a result of losing this lawsuit? Now that is a different story.

Mind you, it wasn't Floyd whose lies (on the form) angered fans into suing. while I understand your points, we need to be more honest about what the surgery possibly prevented.

Ok. I doubt a lot of people would take Floyd at his word. I didn't take Manny at his word.

              • And here we go! The seeds for a rematch are being planted.

if thats the problem, then floyd never gave credit to any of manny's win prior to fighting eachother. respect is earned not given.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that what team Pacquiao did was right; quite the opposite, as far as charging people record prices and fighting injured. That shit was seedy. He shouldn't have fought at all with that shoulder injury. My original post suggested that the injury was real, regardless of Pac's delayed disclosure. Now that he's had surgery and demonstrated that it is completely healed, I'd like to see a rematch with Mayweather- for considerably less money than was charged for the first fight. He owes us that.

This is where we differ. I do not believe he fought injured. I believe he (nor his team) thought anyone would react the way they did to his claiming he was injured in the post fight presser. Usually boxing fans just shrug that stuff off and chat about it on social media. This time it was different.

I do not think anyone did (or possibly could have) predicted the absolute anger a lot of (non boxing) fans had toward Manny once he and his team said this nor could they imagine these fans would file suit. I know ESPN and others tried to blame Floyd (he bears some fault) but he wasn't the one facing the lawsuit(s). desperate times calls for desperate measures.

So now that he has had the surgery and is completely healed (your words) and we saw him throw only 10 more punches total in his last fight, I think a rematch does nothing but lines their pockets with more money for a similar outcome given that both are older, Manny didn't grow taller and Floyd's arms didn't get shorter.
