I'd love some proof that his shoulder was hurting during the fight. I can point you to many portions, late in the fight, where he threw both hands with conviction.

I watched the man throw his right hand with conviction, all the way up until the end of the fight.

I watched him raise that, oh-so-hurt, arm in victory after the fight, smiling.

I watched him not say a single word about it in the post fight interview, but then miraculously couldn't shut up about it at the press conference.

Nothing during this fight pointed anywhere near the direction of a hurt shoulder. They came up with the excuse after the fact, and you guys ate it up. Simple as that.
