There was no point in letting it go on just so he could knock you down yet again. The fight wasn't competitive.

Yeah four minutes of action one good shot and a technical knockdown thats how you beat a champion.

Charles waited too long, but the ref could have still let it go. Jack Reese had a similar situation recently where the fighter got up at 10, and Reess said "you were this close! Ima let it continue and give u one more chance!" I can't remember the match though. But it was handled well.

            Save your dignity, man.

You were on the floor at ten and waved off after you stood. No British stoppage.

We've seen boxers do this many times. They don't want to continue so they wait just long enough to be counted out then rise to their feet a little late so they can them complain about a bad stoppage. Martin's bush league behind azz would've been staring at the black lights had he really made an effort to beat the count. Best he can hope for now is another payday getting waxed by Deontay.

Once again the Brits buy another title.

I submit the first fall - Charles Martin knows the rules ; If a knee is down he must be given a full ten count also he is making eye contact with the ref letting him know he is fine - the first fall was legit but the second one landed on the shoulder you can even see Martin laughing it off....I dont have more to say....this is not how you beat a champion...shame on the Brits.
Watching this replay, I see Martin fully up before the ref counts to 10. He does wait way too long, he is ready to get up when the ref is on 6 and 7, but waits til 9 to fully extend, but I don't see the ref ever actually get to 10, I see him just wave it off when Martin is up.
