Oh boy. Cotto stoops to a new low.
Bring on Rios 1-99% split for Cotto, Rios has to weight 140 rehydration limit of 147

I'm thinking Tecate will have a little bar there in Rios corner, round card girls serving him a few beers between rounds.

Who in their right mind would think Cotto wants to duck someone like Vargas? Are you kidding me?

Like it's been said many times before, Roc Nation is looking for a "****er" type match-up for Cotto to keep the fans happy. That's why they considered Kirkland and Rios. Don't get me wrong, I know that those aren't top of the line match-ups, but it's supposed to be a tune-up fight, anyway.

The real goal is either Marquez or Canelo by the end of the year.

BTW, Cotto wanted Marquez right now. So, is Vargas supposed to be better than Marquez? If you even believe Arum in the first place, of course, because none of us know what's really happening behind the scenes.

It seems like every time a possible Cotto opponent is brought up, Bob Arum shows up and either shuts it down or makes some sort of claim for one of his fighters. That's what he's expected to do, sure, but I can't help but feeling this is his version of revenge for Cotto leaving Top Rank.

He may be trying to sideline him, even though he's not even connected to him anymore, lol.
There is no way that 43 year old, broken knee, inactive and small Marquez is a better opponent than the current version of Vargas. Stop bullshieeting here!

I haven't cared about one boxing match this year really... Pac-Bradley is garbage...and so is Canelo v. Khan...

Thurman v. Porter will be the first fight I care about this year... and I'm not super excited for that fight... can anyone name one fight that's can't miss this year?

Canelo v. Triple G... isn't happening for no other reason than Canelo is scared to fight anyone who could be bigger and stronger than him... Triple G fights weak competition..Ward fights bums even gets his opponents rejected..still ducking Kova... boxing is becoming a joke of a sport..
Ward ducking Kova? Aren't you reaching a little too far now. Ward moved up specifically for this match-up, so how can you call him a duck?

Also, whether Ward takes another tune up or not will not change ANYTHING about the Ward-Kov situation. Why? Because the fight already has an estimated date, which is November 2016. So whether Ward takes a tune up in June/July or not will literally change nothing. You can't call him a duck either way. It's idiots like you spreading all these false accusations that turn potential boxing fans away from the sport.

Finally, it seems like you're only interested in the small guys, because there are some great match-ups in the heavyweight this year, Joshua-Martin for the IBF title, Fury-Klitschko rematch, and Wilder-Povetkin for the WBC in russia.

Yawl behave worse than housewives with your petty complaints.

Cotto would absolutely destroy Rios at this point. In shape and prime Rios would at least make it an action fight.
