Yeah, because Postol's likely making more, right?

    Crawford is a complete nobody.

Oh man, this is not even a Golovkin type opponent Crawford is scared of fighting. This is just Postol.

HBO also wanted Crawford vs Matthysse, not Postol vs Matthysse because, come on, which fight do you think could have been a much better box office draw?

Look at who he fought, Dierry effing Jean.

Well he got $1 million dollar for mismatch with Lundy so what did you expect will happen when its time to make a champion vs champion fight?

HBO & PBC go on keep overpaying for mismatches

damn, I enjoy watching Crawford and believe he can be special, but this is looking like a duck. 7 figures and still no? seems like he does't want that smoke from pistol at all.

hopefully this is just posturing/negotiating through the media for that matchup

i dont think it has anything to do with all bark no bite its just fighters want fair value in big fights. its easy for fans to say bs but its true. i wouldnt be surprised if broner made more on spike tv then crawford was offered to fight postol

If guys like this who barely sell in their hometown of Nebraska are pricing themselves out of fighting the best guys in their weight this is a big problem for boxing.
no its a big problem for bob arum and other promoters cause there going to have to actually pony up and the transition might be dirty but i dont think its going to be bad for boxing for boxers to want their market value thats just ridiculous

It seems like it went from just one or two fighters who were truly at the top of their game, to everyone from top contenders, newly crowned champs, managers, promoters, and coaches.

Maybe it was always this way, we just weren't privy to the information. Either way, I don't like it and I don't see it getting better anytime soon.

Getting a 7 figure payday to fight Postol is more than fair. Postol isn't some superstar, he's just a good fighter. Crawford hasn't beaten anyone in the top 15 and this is an opportunity to change that, yet he's behaving like some spoilt girl.

The hype has got to this guy's head, he has done absolutely nothing in the sport and isn't showing any eagerness to prove himself.

You don't see Postol demanding more money and he's probably making less than half of what Crawford is.

He obviously ducked Matthysse too. Crawford vs Matthysse would have been the more interesting fight. Unfortunately, it's never going to happen.

Crawford would have been the guy who retired Mathysse, and his resume would have improved.
