What's the deal with Briggs, Shannon seemed like he was dying to fight him, but if I remember correctly, didn't Peter's management pretty much refuse to deal with him?

Yeah that's right, he did lose, didn't he?
He showed a heart and a chin by staying on his feet,
but that doesn't mean he didn't take a beating.

Actually they refused the fight because Briggs priced himself out of the market, or so it is claimed. Actually we can never be sure who is giving us the straight goods when these prima donas have a spat in public.

agree with all except brock- brock has wins over better fighters than peter and is in line for a title shot, besides it makes no sense for brock to risk a fight with the dangerous peter whe he is due a shot at a championship.
peter does need to beat a fringe contender though such as brigss, mcline,or austin.
actually i'd like to see him fight huggy bear ruiz w/ his new trainer

Ruiz gets beaten and is not favored in any fight. Byrd couldn't stand with the might of the big man Wlad. I like Jirov but most say who's he? He's been lacking of late. Anybody who is brought out of retirement is by definition past their prime. We want to see up and comers and peter is the only one worth a damn out there. I was very impressed with him being in the fight with wlad for the entire fight, I thought he would putter out.
as far as I know Liak/brew is leading canidate for fight of the year so peter is pretty much on the back burner at the moment because he has fallen from grace he is still dangerious and the belt holders do not have to fight him so why would they I think with the current mix of belt holders someone is going to hold two belts and be the man personaly I think it could be wald or sergi. people will think sergi who but it is simple unfortunetly the man fights to the level of his comp now if he can find the mind to be at the edge he can give wald a run and don't even talk about valuev he could very well loose to beck ya owen beck a champ damit valuev we were better with ruiz.
