Basically he will get a shot because he is an attractive opponent and very much beatable by anyone that can box.

Of course those behind Peter will say that he should be out there because in regards to Duva, Samuel Peter is pretty much the epitome of their stable and the division is there for the taking.

How many other heavyweights have gotten title fights for doing nothing?

Rate Peter or not, you still have to say that he has the goods to deliver an exciting fight, and that is what the division needs more than anything.

Truthfully, Peter should fight either Calvin Brock, Sultan Ibragimov, David Tua, or Shanon Briggs. If he wins one of those fights, he's earned a title shot, IMO. Right now, his last big fight he lost...end of story. You want to fight for big money...prove you're worthy.

man i think you're out to lunch. those you listed are relegated to second tier statis and sultan ibraginov is a club fighter who hasnt even reached journeyman statis. a peter/klitmoe would be a top rated circus act worthy of seeing considering they're all clowns anyway in these days of a weak hvwt division imo.

you got that right.being able to win with no footwork and little boxing skills but a hell of a lot of heart, youth and looping wide stanced power shots that connect one out of five times, with a chin.he's a youngun that needs a good trainer. he just hasn't shown that much improvement to me in recent fights.but in this day and age of hvwt comics he could get lucky.

Peter needs a win over a Monte Barrett or Jameel McCline.Or at least a Ray Austin type fighter.If Duva is trying to get rematch with Wlad already he's making a bad decision.Peter needs to get some boxing skill to go with that power before he takes on Wlad or any of the other top 5 hw.

Not really man. (out to lunch). Peter hasn't even beaten a fighter of those "clowns" quality yet. Briggs could out-box him, Tua would be a good solid test, Ibragimov has done as much as Peter to warrant ranking with the exception of the overblown media attention that courts any Duva fighter and honestly, Calvin Brock would kick his ass. Brock beat the one top contender he faced, Jameel McCline. Peter, tough and strong as he is....couldn't "box" his way out of a wet paper sack.
