Danny Garcia demands $5mil for Kell Brook clash

Half the the PPV goes to SKY so if they did $10 mil buys they'd have $5 mil, they can pay Garcia but what about Brook, the undercard, arena rental etc?

Froch-Groves did over £22 mil and they ended up taking £10mil (less than half) between them. Brook isn't going to take any less than what Garcia does so this fight would need to make $20 mil+ for them to get paid.

Again, add up the revenues; with the PPV share pegged at $5m, you still have the sponsors/gate for the event; for scope of what's possible, Froch-Groves 2 did ~$9m at the gate (not counting event sponsors). $3m-$4m for Brook-Garcia wouldn't be an outlandish gate projection, imo.

To that you can then add money from Showtime for the US rights, and other revenues.

$5m to Danny/$3m to Brook (plus personal sponsors and event upside) isn't an impossible task, imo

Your numbers keep changing. Brook isn't a big draw, 3/4 mil gate isn't happening, 600k PPV isn't happening and Brook taking less than Garcia isn't happening. Garcia is pricing himself out.

For some reason I think it's just tabloids. If it's not I can't believe people actually think a 5 million payday is realistic. 4 or 5 people got that payday and Brooks and Garcia are relatively unknown.

I can't believe how many people think this is a logical ask. Let's list all of the fighters in the last say 5 years who have gotten paid $5m in a fight not including Floyd, Manny or Klitschko.

Froch (in the Groves rematch)
Cotto and Canelo against eachother
Cotto (against Martinez)
If there are more, let me know because I can't think of any.

$5m paydays are for MAJOR draws in MAJOR fights, they are not very common. This would be an average draw in a slightly above average fight. He doesn't deserve anything close to $5m.

All of these guys are well known, have won multiple major fights, danny is nowhere near that level yet...
