Rios would have been a bigger draw than Garcia. But for some reason Hearn decided not to pursue the fight. And Rios would have been fine with getting 900K US. Which just shows the figures that have been thrown around here are mere fantasies.

But yeah, agree that Garcia deserves a bigger shake. Especially if he's traveling to the UK, but I doubt he'll do it. But £2-3million can change most people's opinion.
I like those guys too. Callum Smith is a monster man. 6'4 as a super middleweight. Crazy.
I think if DeGale goes on to face Badou I'd very much like to see Smith eviscarate Bute in similar fashion to Froch, though I think Smith could do that in Montreal, in the first round. I'd like to see Snith given rounds by someone like Abe or Bute I just don't see Bute standing up to that for three minutes if Smith turns it on from the get go. Should Smith go on to face the winner of the proposed unification, he will win.
I have no desire to see Smith waste his time versus Groves or Murray whilst it would appear those two are on a collision course and the winner potentially lined up to face DeGale I think it is a waste of time kinda like these fight offs Haymon has just lined up with the eventual winners meeting, when we'd all just prefer an immediate unification.
On Topic.
The more I dwell on Garcia v Brook I don't believe it will happen, more likely Broner vs Garcia if truth be known I'd rather see that anyway. Although I do want to see Brook face the fighters he apparently craves, Hearn should stop fückin about and dip into his own pockets. If Brook does not face Vargas, Chaves or Guerrero whilst waiting on the likes of Thurman, Bradley and Garcia for an opening in Hymon and Arum's plans I'll be disappointed.
Hearn need to get Haymon and Arum's attention with an offer that turns their head. Surely the money he has made on Joshua and likely will continue to make on Joshua should he in as expected in a couple of ppv soft defences he will have serious money to get Brook a top opponent.

If that's the case, then Hearn would have made tons of money if he pursued the Rios fight. And Rios is far cheaper.
Hope that helps.

Garcia is a big draw in America and the synergies of his and Brook's star power would sell a good amount oversees.
