Honestly I can't remember making that comment. Didn't realize Golovkin was such a beast that far back.

Its ironic that you criticize Golovkin for his resume having Wilder as your avatar.

Rather than call "Lara's bluff", K2 chose to fight Willie Monroe Jr instead; lol.

Yes, Billy Joe Saunders did say, at some point, that he needed something like 18 months to be ready for Golovkin (googled it and found that the statement was made December 2015); still, in the same vein, Billy Joe Saunders seems to be a big money offer away from now being ready for said fight this Summer, in about half of the time that was initially spoken of.

A shame that K2 had to blatantly lie about the type of money being offered for the fight.

Is Golovkin a world's better puncher than "Perro" Angulo is? I sincerely doubt it. To then act, as if Golovkin could stand there and withstand the type of beating that Angulo took to get inside on Lara, is even more laughable.

Just because you want to keep saying that "he's avoided" (when there are 154 fighters on the record as being willing to come up to tax that ass [pause], and basically the entire 168lb division is basically daring him to let his 34-year old 5'10 frame come up the 8 pounds) doesn't make the statement any less foolish.
Not only did they choose Monroe Jr over Lara. They tried to convince us Monroe Jr was more known than Lara because he won the Boxcino championship. GGG fans say Lara would want to much money but when they see what Wade is getting paid it'll become obvious the Lara fight was doable

Actually Thomas Hauser went to some secret location to meetup with Wade and passed a gym bag to Wade under the table wearing sunglasses and sipping a Tequila Sunrise saying, ''In the 5th, yo ass goes down. Say it!''

He was seen as the future MW champion by many. Or as a superb MW. Someone that was a threat and was coming to take over the MW division. Some also said things like: "yeah, he's good, let's see". That was the lowest opinion you could find about him.

Then he started unifying belts and one portion of the boxing fans started calling him overrated, someone with no resume and so on.

WTF happened. Some people are really jealous of someone's success.

2011 article/thread on Boxingscene regarding Ouma being hospitalized after fight with Golovkin: http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=488752

People back in 2011 was already speaking of Golovkin being avoided.

http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=583211 - 2013 article/thread talking about Sturm avoiding Golovkin when he was his mandatory

              Article from 2012:

Ward words towards GGG in January 2013:

Ward himself said... the guys are avoiding him, it's not his fault.

Article/thread from 2013 when GGG stopped Maclkin and broke his rib:

Talk about anything boxing related here. Where the boxing discussion is always Non Stop!

Article/thread from 2010 when GGG was avoided by Mundine:

People talking about all the good MWs avoiding Golovkin, six years ago:

I could go on forever... people was respecting him like the tremendous fighter he is. Saying how impressive he was.

But when success and recognition came after 2014, something happened.
Assh*les started to hate him badly. They hate him, they envy him. They say he's a bum. They blame him for not having big names on his resume, when even Ward himself said it was not his fault that people was avoiding him. We have fighters like Sergio Martinez saying GGG was off the charts, and so on, but they ignore it, they just hate it. And Ward, the *******, now calls him "little G".
The ****** no brainers tell him B side, and says he needs to lose weight for a fat ginger that outweights him already.

Some people is just ****** and that will never change.
The marketing mistakes were mostly their own. They said anyone from 154-168. IMO he's been mismanaged.

They didn't choose Monroe over Lara, dummy. Lara was not an option at all, since the entire shows budget would not have covered just his purse demands.

Lara is better known, just, but while Monroe is a zero draw, Lara is a negative one. Most casuals that saw his embarrassing display vs Canelo will make a point of not tuning when he's on

Uh I bet if he was better managed, he'd be bigger than Canelo now. Just kidding, that's a terrible point you're making. You'll find he's done far better than anyone from central Asia that didn't get an HBO shot till his 30ies. It's quite amazing what they've done. See Kovalev for comparison

That's Sanchez saying Monroe Jr is a bigger name than Lara & HBO wouldn't buy a Lara fight because there's no demand from it. The only people demanding the fight is the boxing public. When asked if there's a demand for the Monroe Jr fight he says yes because Monroe Jr is the Boxcino champion.

Show me where they said the budget for that fight couldn't accommodate both purses

Main event budget 1.5m, Lara wants 2m. Math too hard?

Wow shocker HBO didn't want Lara. So how was he an option then?
