Pretty much my thoughts. I get it. You think you are getting short money, but its not like he was going to fight for slave wages. Instead he has dropped off the map, made no money, and likely to be rusty as all get out. Also as another poster pointed out. Even if he comes back in the summer, it will likely take him awhile to get a meaningful fight.

It's not that complicated. A boxer can have his principles, and it might be an ego war between Arum and Garcia. The Garcia family does have somewhat of a name to market anyways, so it's not the end of the world. Seeing how Garcia has always praised Floyd in interviews and perhaps got consulting from Haymon, it's more like Garcia could care less about Top Rank's plan and his image.

If Garcia is a good as we or he thinks he is, then it should still come back a winner, and complaining about his time off and discussing earnings are irrelevant since those things would've already been dictated to him during his long wait in the litigation process.. It's pretty much, ''fack Bob Arum'' in Garcia's eyes. He doesn't want to work for him.

Mikey Garcia is only 28 years old, seems to have kept himself in the gym, and fights out of the Southern California boxing hotbed. You add that Mikey Garcia has the seeming frame to settle in at 140lbs and, if Mikey is as good as folks believe him to be, he'll be just fine.
