What is the reason that he is no longer with Top Rank/HBO?

I think he is more a Showtime Boxing kind of fighter instead of a PBC one.

The rumor has been from early on in this dispute with TR that he was looking to jump ship to Haymon. After 2 years has gone by who knows anymore doe.

Hope what Robert is saying is correct with Mikey being a free agent soon & back in action.

Can't imagine 2yrs out of competitive action has been a good thing for Mikey's boxing career is the bad part despite what Robert is saying. And all the momentum Mikey had has been lost as well which is gonna hurt him getting meaningful fights &/or the big money fights he felt he deserved 2yrs ago anytime soon. So he's probably in a worse position now than if he'd just finished out his TR deal for short money & capitalized off the momentum he would have had after his deal was over. I understand fighting for the principle of the matter, but at a certain point maybe one should look closer at the overall pros & cons when the principle of the matter isn't that big of a principle as I suspect this one was.

there was an article awhile back that mikey had already signed with haymon. he has been out over 2 years. it is safe to say that he received very bad advice on the validity of his contract or i am sure he wouldn't have sat out.

By the sounds of it he's going to be getting a summer fight, Seems like a forgone conclusion he's on his way to PBC so I wouldn't be suprised if he gets one of the ESPN or NBC slots for comeback.

Be interesting to see who he'll fight.

Pretty much my thoughts. I get it. You think you are getting short money, but its not like he was going to fight for slave wages. Instead he has dropped off the map, made no money, and likely to be rusty as all get out. Also as another poster pointed out. Even if he comes back in the summer, it will likely take him awhile to get a meaningful fight.
