I saw the bout off an Italian xmsn, delay...this guy was pathetic...no concept of fundamentals, forget a jab or headmovement...he wouldn't go 5 vs wilder...

Helenius never bothered to develop the fundamentals, just relied on his power. When that went he had nothing. He's too old and injury prone now to bounce back from anything. His days as a possible contender are long gone.

Overtrained??? LOL! I doubt he works nearly as hard as Joshua for example. The guy needs to work on his defence thats it! And on tactics! But overtrained come on! Undertrained would be a better excuse.

It was his idiot father who said that, I believe. Anyway, doesn't really matter what they say to excuse this loss. Helenius is irrelevant unless he can come back with a big win. I doubt that's going to happen.

Watch for Helenius to fade into Bolivian on the European Bum Circuit, Denis Boytsov style.

The irony of all this is that two of the fighters that Deontay Wilder had Knocked out, and were considered bums by many boxing fan experts, has gone on to defeat former undefeated, European and World heavyweight titlest by way of KO. While winning Heavyweight title belts in the process by doing so. Now I see where the Roger Mayweather's YDKSAB coined phrase comes from.

So Wilder was criticised for facing top-20 opposition after acquiring a paper title, though a top 5 contender nonetheless. The wins by Duhaupas and Molina verify they are indeed top 20 heavyweights, and not any worse than we suspected.

Whats with the retrospective 'credit' for Wilder then? The situation hasn't changed at all - he looked sub-par against a shameful string of top 20 HW competition when he's nearly a contender for the World HW title.

P.S I love the spin employed by people who don't really care about sound arguments. 'gone on to defeat former undefeated, European and World heavyweight titlest by way of KO' - are you really trying to say this paints the entire picture? Whilst this statement is true as a matter of fact, you've stripped the substance by neglecting the pretty important circumstances currently surrounding those fighters... i've bolded the word former as it really does hold a lot more weight than you realise

Well then, if that's your thesis, then the World governing bodies DKSAB because obviously both these men had ability. They could fight, punch and should have been ranked higher than their #20 in the ranking system indicated. I guess they must have all of sudden slipped through the cracks somehow; Meaning Eric Molina and Johann Duhaupas that is. Also, I've noticed that you've highlighted the word former in my post. It was true was it not, that Robert Helenius was indeed a former undefeated, European and World titleholder up until the point of getting KO by Johann Duhaupas? Am I right?
