I have some posters in mind but when I say their names, I will have to prove it with screenshots and sh.it and I dont wanna search through thousands topics to find their comments, LOL

He has the reach advantage, and obviously there is more power in his jab. Kovalev is also quite good at moving back out of range quickly, he has fast feet.

Then there's the size advantage, which could completely negate Ward's inside game (if the referee doesn't). It's hard to see Kovalev getting bullied on the inside, not impossible, but seems unlikely.

Ward has handspeed, it's not drastic but could be important, particularly in the first half of the fight. He is the harder to hit of the two as well but far from impossible to tag him.

I favour Kovalev, but you just never know in this sport.

Go for broke, this isn't someone who will cower if he's getting beaten to the punch or outboxed on the outside, he will take it to Ward.

When Boone caught him in the second fight with a big punch, Kovalev threw caution to the wind and went to war. That was end of Boone.
throwing caution in the wind on the top level leaves you open....Boone is a journeyman....thats not some groundbreaking event

taking it to ward isnt gonna make him curl up and run...he fights very well inside, and against aggressive fighters

kov is an exceptional fighter...all fighters have flaws...he doesnt get under shots...Pascal was landing some wide hooks and over hands..a slip or dip would have helped. Kov leans back from shots, parries and blocks...against a top notch counter puncher, your head will be in line for their shots

who said he was a robot? he is willie pep as far as head and waist movement either

Pascal's akwardness is also his strengh, from time to time he was landing same hooks on Bhop too. For example Maidana's akwardness helped him against Floyd and Broner.

imo it wasnt as much awkwardness as it was bad technique....he wings(****s back) his shots and he hardly jabs....he throws a lot of arm punches

Maidana throws looping punches and straight shots...he mixes it up.....Pascal throws what trainers call, fat shots

you dont think it will be harder to defend shorter, crisper, more accurate shots.....Wards best power punch is that left hook Pascal was landing and he can land it to the head, to the body, as a counter to a jab...he rolls the right hand and counters with the left hook

Ward does so many more technical things to disrupt his opponent than Pascal who fights in spurts with no jab

The question was, what does Kovalev do better than Ward.

You did not mention 1 thing other than power.

And if Kovalev can't handle the pressure when that fight starts to unfold, he better not "throw caution to the wind" against Ward.

Ward is not Daniel Boone, as I like to call him.
