Broner won't do **** at WW. Who does he have wins over at that weight? Malignaggi? Dude can't hang with the big guys. They don't respect his punch, they walk right threw it.

Why would Porter fight Broner again? He beat him easily, there is zero need for a rematch.

Based off styles Spence will take Algieri's shots to land with no fear of getting rocked because Algieri is not known as a puncher . its match making 101. Build your guy's rep against a name. I believe Spence will stop Algieri late with some vicious body shots. This fight is designed to look challenging on paper and for Spence to shine on terrestrial TV against a recognized opponent.
This. It is amazing how easy it is for these promoters to convince fans that a guy is a tough/competitive opponent. Algieri has survived some tough fights, but the guy he is fighting now is much bigger and stronger than any of those past fights. Neither Provo, Khan, or Pac (at the time they fought) were/are legit welterweights. In fact I think the Khan fight was the only one that actually took place at 147 (Provo at 140 and Manny at 144). Spence will stop this guy late in a relatively noncompetitive fight.

Floyd had no say has none of these guys signed. Spence last 3 fights including his upcoming fight with Algeri have nothing to do with D class promoter Mayweather promotions. These are haymon fighters and he picks the fights and the promoters.

Broner needs to fight at 143 bringing up blown up lightweights the moment he faces a decent 140 fighter at 140 or moves up to 147 he'll start looking poor and losing again.

I see where you're coming from but Algieri is a live dog.

Did he even beat Paulie, disregard the judges cards who did you actually think won that fight ? Paulie was good for a draw in the least that night.

I definitely respect and admire Algieri's heart and his overall career. I mean this is a real educated guy who has had success at an elite level in two very demanding combat sports (few accomplish this feat of excellence in both spheres). I mean I like seriously admire the guy. But I also try to be an objective fan of the sport and I think anyone who takes a look at this fight without bias can see this is a one sided affair. But Algieri will definitely hang in there and show some moxy, like he always does.

Agreed. I think Algieri is overmatched, yet an Algieri win will be the biggest win of Spence's career right ?

Algieri is the type of opponent Broner should be looking at, the dude can't punch at all, same reason why Khan was so eager to face him, Broner should line up the same guys Khan has fought over the last two years.

yeah ive been telling everyone that this will be a tough fight for spence, chris speed n jab will be an issue, he can win. only thing is he doesn't have power and can he take those bombs for 12 rounds without being dropped.
