Wow. Anyone know how much is Lara is supposedly getting?
Love Haymon or hate Haymon he's making more boxing millionaires than anyone else in the business these days. -

Yes but at what price for the fans?
Are they actually making money or overpaying bums and losing money on purpose, as an investment, just to have the monopoly of boxing in five years or so?Comment

I take Vanes' twitter rants with a grain of salt, but wasn't this dude just complaining some months ago about being offered 450k or something of the like to fight julian williams? What exactly happened between then and now to raise Vanes' stock so much, or is Lara some kind of big draw now?
If this is true (unlikely), it sets a bad precedent and actually gives fighters, pbc fighters, incentive to turn down 450k in hopes of waiting out a bigger payday.

Thats the question. It is what it is doe. If Haymon can do what he thinks he can do boxing will be bigger than its been in a long time & will readjust to that reality & if Haymon can't do it then boxing will keep with its current premium cable & PPV niche market method & will readjust fully back to that reality.
I think HBO Boxing getting a budget reduction year in & year out for a couple decades now is the most troubling thing happening in boxing these days. I feel that this eventually leads to HBO Boxing no longer existing or only existing as a even smaller, more niche PPV arm only maybe. What does boxing look like in 10 years if Haymon fails & HBO gets out of the boxing business largely or completely?Comment
