Why would the presence of a relatively small group of Criollos in the (now American) Southwest prior to the Mexican-American war dictate US policy in 2016?

why would I take stats from people in america...my grandma lived to 102 and i've seen pictures of her mother and dad....she died when I was in high school

her mom was black and cherokee, her dad was muscogee.

I checked U.S. cencus from 1860-1940 in my family and these idiots have my great grandma listed as white one year...black one year...mulatto one year and in the 1900's they settled on black
